This newly remodeled 3 Bedroom 2 Bath 1920s local natural rock Bungalow is located right in Mountain Grove. In a quiet residential neighborhood. With a large private yard. Less than a block from Panther Stadium, or Funeral Home. Just 19 minutes from the Mark Twain National Forest and North Fork River. Sleeps 6 comfortablely with 2 queen beds and one child s room with twin bed. Also queen and twin air mattresses available for use. A pack n play for infants. Everything one might need from kitchen utensils to a new washer dryer set. Central Heat and air. Wifi The perfect private place for your family to stay if they plan on visiting the area for weddings, funerals, or to just catch up with family and friends. Great location for our visit to Laura Ingalls Wilder museum. Beautiful house with lots of supplies.

A nice house

We rented this property to stay at while we were in town for a family member's funeral. The house was charming and well furnished. The street wS quiet and centrally located with a Wal-Mart and several different food establishments nearby. There is a train that runs a ahort distance away but it didn't bother any of us. This is a good place to stay and we will stay again if back in the area.

Our Stay

We were pleased with the location. The appliances such as the stove and dryer seems to need attention. The dryer seems to take a long time drying and the burners on the stove takes a long time heating up. We also noticed a weak spot in the flooring between the couch table and the bar chairs.

Dryer amd stove are BRAND NEW and used so very infrequently not sure where the needing attention comment is coming from. Maybe on the wrong settings or something. The floor is not weak. This is a very humid climate, its a 100+year old home so no worries of a weak floor either. It has just gotten some humidity on the subflooring. Common in Missouri and older bungalow style homes.

It was wonderful!

The property was lovely. Everything was efficient and well decorated. The natural light through the windows was so pretty. The neighborhood was very quiet. The home was in a great location within close proximity to churches, restaurants and shopping. Mountain Grove is the friendliest town! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We'll Rent Again!

The Rock Bungalow served out purposes well. We needed to be near family out in the country, and this was a central location in town - close to Walmart and McDonalds. The bedroom/bathroom set up is perfect for two couples or a family with several children. Very nice to have a laundry area with detergent provided. Kitchen was well stocked, although we actually didn't cook in the house. The decorations were very welcoming. The master bedroom has a huge closet, also. The bed slept wonderfully! Owner says that more upgrades and improvements are scheduled. We will rent again when needing to be in the area

Visited the area to hang out with family living in Norwood. The house was perfect for us. More than enough space, very clean, comfortable and convenient! Stephanie was great to work with and we will definitely stay again when we visit the family again!!!

Charming house

Our entire experience was stellar. This property was very clean and comfortable. Stephanie was so accommodating and easy to communicate with. The only change I would make would be the addition of a small dining table. It was difficult for more than 2 to eat together since the bar only seats 2. Still this would be our 1st choice to stay as a small family.

Acceptable accommodations

Place was nice and clean. Overall I would say it is a good place to say but just be aware of a few things going in. Train noise a few times throughout night. It isn't loud but might not be good for anyone who has trouble sleeping. I kinda enjoyed hearing it. Make note that this place does not have internet/WIFI. The listing does not say that it has internet/WIFI but since this is becoming rare these days might want to state doesn't have to make clear. Please also consider getting a programmable thermostat. We arrived fairly late at night and it was 60 inside when we arrived. Seemed like it took a few hours to get temp up to 70 and had to crawl into cold bed. Place has a bar/counter that seats 2. There is no dinner table so if will be eating while staying just be prepared to eat on your lap. If you intend to overstay the checkout time which I think is 11 be sure to work that out with owner well in advance. We asked to stay till 6pm at around 7am of checkout day but ending up having to pay for an extra day because of the 7 hour overstay.

Robbie I am so sorry that your stay was not satisfactory. I do apologize for the internet. The limited internet options in our rural area are changing fast and we are hoping to have something with unlimited data available in the area soon. For now sadly many of use just use a Hotspot. It does state it on the online portal but maybe needs to be front page. As far as late check out. I am VERY liberal with my check in/out policy but 7pm in the evening is just to late to have it cleaned and rerented to other guests. I again apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused your family and hope that if you are in my area you will stay at my other home with unlimited wifi. Thanks again stephanie

Charming

We used the VRBO for family overflow over Christmas. It was perfect!! Very comfortable and convenient. The only disappointments were the lack of wifi and only a snack bar and 2 bar stools for eating. But, those staying in the house enjoyed it very much!! ;-)

Will stay here again.

Nice, clean house on a quiet street. Our grand daughter loved the 3rd bedroom, pink is her favorite color and she loves unicorns. House was nicely stocked with those items you need daily. We will travel to this area frequently in the future and will look for availability to stay here again.

Walkable Mountain Grove

How great to have a house in Mountain Grove that is close to the town square! It is great for shopping local and meeting people in the community. There are parks nearby. Beware of walking alone on weekend nights, as there are frisky drunk men out near the square. The description is accurate in the details. It is a nice house! If you are a reader, keep in mind that there is only one reading lamp. Otherwise the house is well lit with overhead lights.
