The house was very nice in the aspect that it was on the beach. The home is perfect friendly which was great. Did not mind that the home was older we actually enjoy vintage homes which this truly is. We now to the bad. The homes bedding all smelled as they had not been washed. The floors were dirty as they hadn't been properly or thoroughly cleaned. The place is said to host 9npeople but they dont have plates, silverware or cups to host that size. They left 3 trash bags for 9 people in a small garbage can.. the place is nice but the amenities for the home are truly lacking.

The house is in the best location the owner is very responsive if you reach out to him. We love the charm of the house and the privacy. We've stayed in the house twice and will return.

Nice quick trip

The location is great for a family with pets. The check in and out process was simple and the host was responsive. No complaints!

Beech home

It was an amazing weekend everyone is so nice around. the house is older but beautifull place to stay with your family the beech is Absolutely amazing. Hope we can rent this special gem again in the future

Awesome view, a little hard to find. It is clean but an older house so don’t expect new home vibes. You can walk to the beach easily. The Tv speaker was broken, the stove was off but the light to warn it was on stayed lit, most of the lightbulbs were not working.

This house is advertised as old and guests are warned not to expect “glitz,” but there is a big difference between an older home and what we experienced.-We checked in Thursday night and found what appeared to be mouse/rat droppings on the kitchen counter, along with an interior door with cracked glass that was a serious hazard with an infant.- I reported both issues to the host that Thursday evening and was told someone would come on Friday to address them.- Later that night, I heard banging in the kitchen, went to investigate, and saw a mouse. There were also moths and bugs around the kitchen.-Despite the property charging a pet fee, we found pet hair on blankets, floors, and throughout the house, which made us question the level of cleaning between guests.-When it rained, water leaked into the house in two places, and we had to walk around the leaks. -Several screens were torn, the main bathroom was missing tiles on the shower wall, and the half bath was in extremely poor condition.-Nobody showed up while we were there to address the issues. -We were later told someone had come and tried to call me, but my call log showed no missed calls. -By Sunday morning, after finding a cockroach on the kitchen counter, we were thoroughly grossed out and left. -Had this been a longer vacation with a realistic opportunity to relocate, we absolutely would have left sooner, but on such a short stay there was simply no practical opportunity to do so. -Beautiful beach access.

We’re truly sorry for the cleanliness and maintenance issues you encountered, especially with the droppings, damaged glass, leaks, and pests, and we understand how upsetting that must have been with an infant present. We’ve taken this seriously and will be reviewing cleaning, inspection, and repair processes right away. Good beach cottage!

We had a wonderful stay. Great location on the beach and small town so not a lot of traffic. Cottage is old, so it has its quirks, but it’s good for a beach trip. Great brewery walking distance across the street - always a perk! If you bring your dogs, the beach has dog hours. No dogs on the beach from 10am - 6pm. The owners also might have dog restrictions that aren’t listed. After I booked they requested I send them my dogs breed, age, weight. Then gave me approval to bring them. The cottage is not a private home to rent, it has an upstairs and downstairs apartment, so neighbors you need to worry about noise. The rental company will also add your email to their email list and start sending you their other vacation rentals - which I was not a fan of.

It was okay.

Our stay was okay. The house was in an excellent location to the beach, however very difficult to find from the road. The house was a great size & the beds were so comfortable. I rate this with a 3 because I felt like there were several things that desperately need updated. The faucets in the bathroom were heavily rusted and leaking. When taking a shower, our faucet diverter broke so we werent able to take a shower the last day of our stay. There is not much of an ocean view as there is a lot of foliage growing on the screens of the porch. Our grill was not operable as the inside was completely rusted out. I contacted our host but he was unable to repair before we left which is completely understandable. Our host was very attentive and quick to answer. If the inside gets updated a little, I would gladly return! ret8rn return.
