Great spot, recommended
We stayed in Villas Solar for three weeks, in one of the two upstairs units, which included a large, lovely porch. The unit is quite roomy, and generally quiet despite being on the main road. The furniture and bed were comfortable and there is a decent kitchen. A communal grill is available. The complex is secured, which is nice. Two units are accessed by stairs and two ground level (in three separate buildings), so if you cannot do stairs get a ground unit. The units are air conditioned (you WILL be grateful). In our unit, and likely all four, the bathroom is separate from the bedrooms and had a good shower. There is a safe in the unit. The kitchen is well stocked. There is maid service, but mostly bringing fresh towels, bedding changes, trash/recycling pickup. Greg, the owner, lives off sight but visits frequently and is super nice and easy to deal with. And, of course, there is the wonderful dog, Luna. An older, mellow and very friendly addition. Potential draw backs? There is no pool, though just across the street is an access road to the beach which is less than a 5 minute walk. If you are going to the beach there are only two (currently) chairs available, and these are camp chairs rather than beach chairs, and no umbrella. There is no available washer & dryer, though there are laundry services in town, one right across the alley. These are minor inconveniences, we were very happy with our stay and dealings with the owner, thus the 5 star.
