Escape to the hills, to the lovely tourist town of Emerald, Victoria with lovely walks into town to the many cafes, shops, playground and the famous Paradise Valley Hotel all within 5 minutes walk. There is also an extensive bike path for your enjoyment.
Emerald is surrounded by breathtaking scenery which can be closely observed from the famous “Puffing Billy” steam train if you choose to take a ride, which winds it’s way through the hills from Belgrave to Gembrook stopping on it’s way to give time for a picnic in Emerald Lake Park, a playground, fun activities and a museum.
You can hear the train’s jolly whistle several times a day from your peaceful, cosy holiday rental, which overlooks Emerald by day and it's twinkling lights by night from the lounge but especially from the huge covered deck. There are three generous bedrooms offering 2 queen & 2 single beds with electric blankets and the comfort of gas ducted heating throughout and cooling to the lounge.
Pets are allowed and have a fenced yard to play in, but must be kindly kept under control and certain rules are in place and they are your responsibility. (Please check the fencing is adequate for your pet prior to letting them roam free).
Vineyards and nurseries around nearby Monbulk are in abundance and especially the Tulip Festival in September is a huge event and can’t be missed. We also need to mention the Great Train race in May if you want to try your luck against its steam power.
There is plenty to do at Cardinia Lake Reserve with a walk along the dam wall, spotting kangaroos and other wild life and a playground and picnic areas.
