The name of this cottage is "Antrim", taken from the name of the small hamlet which was being developed at Big Creek, just 300 meters east of the property, in the early 1800's. The village was abandoned due to the silting up of the small working harbour, sometime in the 1830's.
This history, the location and the former use of the home as part of a large farmstead makes Antrim Cottage an interesting, cozy and good "bones" home for your gatherings, as I had the chance with my own family & friends since purchasing it in 1997. Our moto is: “The essence of a house is the friends who frequent it”
