Hello, we had a great time 3 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 dogs. It was nice that there are 3 floors where the teenagers had each of their own space. Benefit of traveling with dogs -the deck had a wire running between the rails to avoid our smaller dog from going through. Plenty of firewood was supplied for the fireplace/firepit. Host was very informative and responded quickly. A couple small things that we feel is not a need for less stars but it would be nice is: to replace the coffee maker as it took 35 minutes for it to brew and maybe add a couple additional medium size pots and replace baking sheets/roasting pan since they are old. But thanks for letting us stay it was a nice getaway.

We enjoyed our stay, it was a very cozy cabin. We came for the Galena Halloween Parade again and had a blast! The only complaints I have is that the cleaning crew would be more thorough. We found underwear and some type of bikini behind the pull out bed. We couldn't get it to pull out but we still made it work without using it! Only other thing is, if you are cooking, bring your own mixing bowls and knives. We didnt have any mixing bowls and the knives were very dull but that was our mistake for forgetting ours. Other than that we had a great time!

We had a wonderful time visiting Galena during Labor Day Weekend. Our host was great in communicating and check in was very easy. The home is fun and it was great to feel like we were really escaping our usual hustle and bustle of suburban life. The nature was enjoyable. We loved the firepit & pool table. The owners club was a very nice option but we didn't have time to use the pool, although we did head over for the farmers market! Everything was as advertised and getting to Galena was easy. My only comment would be that the coffee pot did take along time to drip which is no big deal but the cleaning crew might want to dust more and maybe do a deep clean occasionally. Otherwise it was a wonderful get away for two families with middle schoolers and high schoolers.

Was perfect just for our family to get away after my dad’s funeral. The only drawback is the location. I should have read more closely but the pool is a community pool a good distance away. Everything else was perfect

Book club getaway

Galena is always a great girls trip. We really liked the cabin. it was in a great area where we felt completely safe. It had everything we needed. Beds were comfy.We loved our day at the club pool!

College friends with spouses (the over 60 group)

The backyard area was overgrown, the house painting was not finished, and the deck was peeling with some rotting. Also, had a broken window in the main floor bedroom and a slider screen that was janky. Inside was cute, but could have been cleaned more in the corners and baseboards. Beds were comfy, kitchen was well equipped. Had to have a contest to figure out where the light switch over the sink was. We had a winner of a dollar for that one! A beautiful area of the state. We really enjoyed ourselves. Overall it was good!

Galena getaway

We had a fantastic stay at our Galena cabin. The cabin had everything we needed for a great weekend. The fire pit and pool table were great amenities and we enjoyed using both. Tucked away in nature was the perfect escape and our host Dan was there to answer any questions that we had. Will definitely be back to stay soon!

Beautiful Property and a Perfect Getaway

We recently had a wonderful stay at this cabin near Galena. Set in a peaceful and secluded area, it was the perfect spot for a relaxing retreat. The natural surroundings provided a calm setting that really allowed us to unwind, while providing very easy access to beautiful downtown Galena, which is a must-visit for anyone that has yet to spend time there.The cabin itself was very clean and tastefully decorated, with all the comforts of home readily available. It struck a nice balance between modern amenities and rustic charm, making our stay both convenient and cozy.The owner was very attentive and easy to communicate with. They made sure we had all the details we needed and checked in with us to ensure our satisfaction, which added a personal touch to our experience.Overall, this cabin is a great find for anyone looking for a quiet place to stay with the option to explore nearby attractions. We're looking forward to returning in the future.

Cabin in the woods!

Very pleased with our stay at this cabin. Perfect for our family of 4 (tween/teen kids) short getaway. The cabin was well maintained and outfitted with all we needed. Pool table in the basement was a fun add. We skied for a day in chestnut and spent a few hours strolling downtown Galena for the shops and restaurants. Owner was very friendly and quick to respond to questions via text. Great value and would come back again!
