We had an exceptional stay at Didier and Sabine’s property. The house is outstanding and the photos genuinely don’t do it justice. The village and surrounding area are beautiful and made the whole trip feel special.Communication from the owners was excellent throughout, and the welcome gift of local produce (along with the thoughtful leaving gift) was a lovely touch that set the tone for the stay. This is genuinely one of the best properties we have ever stayed at. We would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing break.

Dear Mark, Thank you so much for this truly wonderful review! Reading that Le Gîte de l’Écureuil is one of the best properties you have ever stayed at means an incredible amount to us. There could hardly be a greater compliment! We’re delighted that you enjoyed not only the house, but also the beauty and peaceful atmosphere of Sturzelbronn and its surroundings. We put a lot of heart into the little details and personal touches, so knowing that these helped make your stay even more special makes us very happy. It was an absolute pleasure to welcome you, and we’re especially touched that you left with such wonderful memories of your time here. Thank you again for your trust, your recommendation and your incredibly kind words. We would be delighted to welcome you back to our little corner of nature one day! Warmest wishes, Sabine & Didier

Lovely quiet location with fantastic views. The pool and jacuzzi were the icing on the cake. Sept was quite cool for the pool but sitting in the jacuzzi in the evening with the view was bliss.

Fabulous property in a wonderful setting. The property itself was immaculate with everything you could possibly want for a very enjoyable stay. The thought that has gone into making guests stays the best they can possibly be is amazing and the Zen room is just blissful. The location is absolutely beautiful and perfectly placed for days out in Strasbourg, Colmar and the surrounding area or for walks through some of the most beautiful countryside. The hosts are genuinely lovely people and nothing is too much trouble for them at all. The pool and jacuzzi were an amazing addition to our stay and were looked after by the hosts to an exemplary standard. We cannot recommend a stay in this property enough!
