The Best of Boa Viagem Beach/Protective Coral Reefs/Close to Everything

This is our home in Brazil where we come to escape the cold and wet winters in the U.S. We recently purchased this apartment and completely remodeled and furnished it with all new furniture and appliances. We occupied it for the first time in November, 2016. So, if you are looking for a very comfortable home environment that is maintained to very high standards of maintenance and cleanliness, located in the very best part of Boa Viagem Beach, this is the apartment for you. The 1300 square feet/120 square meters of living space provide for ample comfort.

The most attractive feature of the apartment is the living room veranda. We removed the veranda door and part of the wall, making the veranda part of the living room. To maximize the light and the ocean view, we had accordion windows (janelas cortinas) installed that, when retracted, bring the outdoors in. Then we raised the veranda floor 10 inches/26 cm, which provides a gorgeous view of the beach through the 12-foot-wide window. With the large windows, you are able to enjoy the cooling, gentle breezes of the ever-present trade winds.

The apartment is located on the 10th floor of the apartment building, affording an excellent view of the beach from the living room and two of the bedrooms. The beach is literally just across the street from the apartment building. The water is warm all year round, and at low tide, protective coral reefs provide for safe swimming at this section of the beach.. There are 4.54 miles of broad sidewalks and dedicated bike paths along Boa Viagem Beach. Joggers and walkers are seen at all hours of the day and early evening, getting in their daily workouts. There are several exercise stations along the Avenida available for public use at no cost. Also, there are tennis courts, soccer fields, basketball and volleyball courts and a skate park. There are bicycle rental stations located along the Avenida, as well as several very nice playground areas for children. All of these things are only a 10-20 minute walk from our apartment.

Within walking distance are found many restaurants, supermarkets, bakeries, banks, pharmacies, hotels, and much more. The Bairro (Neighborhood) of Boa Viagem is the most upscale part of Recife, known for its quality restaurants, popular nightclubs, and large shopping centers.

Boa Viagem is clearly the most sought-after neighborhood in the city. Our apartment is located in the best section of the beach for safe swimming and proximity to restaurants, etc.
