Don't let the fun end when you head to your home away from home for the night, because the porch at this home is screened in to keep bugs out and fresh air in. When you want the air conditioning, head indoors and watch a movie on a flatscreen TV in the living room. Next to the brightly decorated living room is the well-equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar and dishwasher. Whip up snacks and easy meals to save money on dining out while not missing a moment of your favorite TV show. Private laundry is available as well. This villa is only a mile from Windmark Beach for getting some sand and sun. This beach cottage is about six miles from St. Joseph Bay and about 60 miles from Panama City Beach, so you'll have plenty of Gulf shoreline to explore for beaches, eateries, and views. Take a day trip to St. Joseph Peninsula State Park for remarkable sand dunes, walks on the sugar-sand beach, and some grade-A snorkeling.

Fun Location for a holiday

Very nice unit. We enjoyed our stay. A previous vacation renter came by and said they also had enjoyed their stay in this unit, and how much nicer it was then the one they were currently renting. By the way, it opens to the beautiful pool, just out the front door.

A great first stay.

Everything was clean and tidy. I would suggest that a coat of fresh paint might be needed on the porches to fit in with the surrounding cottages. Overall a lovely stay, everything was there if I needed it and vacasa was very fast in teacting to any of my needs, thank you.

Nice and quiet area! Would definitely make a return visit. Please note the hot tub was cold. We needed pot holders in the kitchen. Also, the combination to the front door is too long. Otherwise, we had everything we needed for a very pleasant visit! Thank You!!

The beds suck, you can feel the springs, hard, and the one mattress was broke in middle so you like caved in. Light in master bedroom didnā€™t work, which was ok because there was a lamp. The fan was super noisy as well. We noted ants throughout the house on our first day. The upstairs balcony doesnā€™t have a lock on the door. The screen door doesnā€™t latch properly. We had 5people staying and was only provided with 3 regular towels. We didnā€™t have a spare blanket for the sofa bed, so we took one off the regular beds so we only had a sheet to use. We added a night to our stay and the code to the door changed and we was never notified so we spent an hour trying to get ahold of someone to get the new code. We also lost all water to our cottage/condo for 5-6hrs. Wifi was terrible and kept cutting in and out. No one ever told us about the ā€œcommunityā€ building or gave us a code to get in to use the elliptical or treadmill etc. The pool was wonderful, i was thankful they provided floats and etc although it would have been nice if they were inflated a little better. Overall. We had a fantastic stay and loved our get away.

Not Again!

We have stayed at the Barefoot Cottage before and enjoyed it. This time was a let down. The house was adequately clean. The furniture throughout the house seems to be a hodgepodge of hand-me-downs. The living room furniture was not comfortable and offered no place for an individual to stretch out and put their feet up. The covers on the couch and chair need to be cleaned. The kitchen inventory was less than adequate. The microwave has a problem. It works, but the digital display is continuously shimmering. You might be able to make Hamburger Helper, open a can of corn (with a flip top lid) and bake a half of bag of frozen French fries. Very basic. Oh, remember to bring your own spices! Even the salt and pepper. The refrigerator needs to be upgraded to meet standards of the last two decades. We arrived at the cottage, unloaded our luggage and were ready for a nice tall drink. Guess what? No ice! We had to go find a convenience store to buy a bag of ice! We, of course, turned on the ice maker but we couldn't wait for two hours for it to make ice! The bedroom to the right ā€“ the bed is lumpy and the pillows are flat. The door to the balcony has no lock! The drawer of the bathroom vanity is badly chipped (I sent a picture to Vacasa as soon as we arrived.) The bed side table has exposed nails that I scratched myself on when plugging in my charger. Had to turn the table around to prevent that from happening again. The bedroom to the left also has a very lumpy mattress and uncomfortable pillows. The towels in both bathrooms are ready for the rag bag. They are frayed and scratchy. We were allotted four bath towels, two wash cloths, two hand towels and two bath mats for two adult women for six days. We washed towels twice during our stay. The bandwidth is insufficient. We tried to watch Netflix and spent more time watching it buffer than actually watching the movie. The televisions are a joke. When using the GUIDE function on the remote and click on ABC you get NBC. Nothing syncs up. We finally memorized how to find the channels we needed. The entire cottage needs an upgrade if the owners want to continue to please VACASA customers. We will definitely stay at Barefoot Cottages again next year because we like the facilities, the pool and the location. But we will not stay in Cottage B22!
