This stunning cottage is located in an unbeatable spot only a short stroll from Oneroa Village. Newly built Whare iti has panoramic views over Oneroa beach, out to Oneroa Bay and the Coromandel. With restaurants, bars, shops, and buses all so accessible, everything you need is at your door step.

Perfect for a romantic getaway, Whare iti is beautifully furnished and completed with luxury linens and thoughtful touches. 

The cottage accommodates two guests; but if you would like to accommodate more guests, please inquire as the neighbouring accommodation – 16 Waikare and Moana on Waikare, may also be available.

Please note there are steps up to Whare iti , so you will need to be able to walk stairs .

Perfect stay in Oneroa

We had a fantastic stay at Whare iti on Waiheke. The accommodation was perfect for a short stay. It was modern and well appointed, it had a comfortable and homely feel and a great view over the bay. It is very well located with just a short stroll to the village of Oneroa with its shopping, bars and great restaurants . Highly recommend.

Amazing views and great location

My husband and I stayed here for two nights at the start of our 3 weeks of traveling around New Zealand and it was the best start to our trip. The views from the property are amazing and it is a quick 3 minute walk to Oneroa for great restaurants, breakfast spots and the bus stop and just a little bit further to walk down to the beach. The place was clean, check in was very easy, and AC worked well. Be advised there are stairs to the entrance, but the views are well worth the walk. Would absolutely stay here again, thank you!

Private Amazing views Comfortable furniture Great shower Needs more lighting in the bathroom, we were going to a wedding and I could not see my face to apply my makeup. Make sure you let people know about the path to the apartment

Thank you for your review Leanne , There are plenty of photos showing the path to the cottage , which most people view .. We also have both lighting and windows in the bathroom , so am sorry you couldn't see .. We have not had this mentioned before .. Best Robbie

Why stay in Auckland

This is why you came. Right in a cute little town. Walk to everything. Don't Uber...The bus system is ridiculously easy. But cutting to the chase...THE VIEW is sick! The unit itself is very dialed in with heated floors/towel racks...awesome bed.Two things: it's 64 steps up. If you can't climb don't rent it. But if you can....man the view is soooo worth it.The second thing is just a suggestion... put a nice telescope in there. That's it. Scale of 1-10....9.9

Experience was horrible, problematic and unsafe. Owner was neglectful and unaccommodating. We had significant issues throughout our stay including no hot water due to water heater failure, gas issues following the attempted water heater repair (which dragged out), bedroom door being one-way locked with no key in unit (daughter got trapped), significant smell of gas after use of oven (could not tell if it was from failed water heater repair and seemed unsafe (slept with outer doors open), front door jamming due missing screws on door plate, trash bag left in hallway. Throughout our stay we had maintenance crews in and out of our unit, impacting our privacy and comfort. Owner was away on vacay and was uncaring about the deficiencies experienced.

Please take this down We do not have water heaters We have not had any problems And I’ve been on Island , and not away … The only comment you made to me was no dish liquid , I responded asap , you then found it .. please take this review down. Lovely stay!

We really enjoyed our stay in this studio. Everything was clean and modern (looked new). The views were incredible and the location was so close to the shops and restaurants in the village. We loved being able to walk to everything we needed, but we also met a great taxi driver on our trip from the ferry that became our personal taxi/tour guide. Visiting the local wineries made for a fun afternoon when the weather wasn't as nice. Robbie replied to my questions in a thorough and timely manner. One note of caution - there wasn't a warning in the listing that I saw about the 3 flights of stairs that would be necessary to climb to get to the studio. If you have roller bags, this can be a challenge! Also, it took a bit for us to figure out how to lock the door when leaving but maybe that was just us - a note in the info book would have been helpful. :)
