2BR Rustic Villa Retreat Next to Starved Rock State Park

This rustic two story two bedrooms vacation villa is located in Grizzly Jack's Grand Bear Resort in Utica,IL next to Starved Rock State Park and the historical Starved Rock Area. Villa is surrounded by beautiful wooded view and green landscaping. Inside, the Villa has 1800 square feet and is decorated with authentic log furniture. Villa has two gas fireplaces, a full kitchen, laundry, a soaking bath, a whirlpool tub, cable TV and free wireless internet. This a relaxing gateway for families or group of friends just beyond of Chicago.

The main floor includes fully equipped kitchen, the full bathroom w/shower, laundry area (dryer and washer), and the living area with gas fireplace and TV/DVD. The sofa/futon in living area has a sleeper for 2 people.

There are two bedrooms upstairs. The Master bedroom has a king bed and sleeper sofa/futon for 1 person, whirlpool tub and gas fireplace, TV and DVD player. The room is connected to a full bathroom w/shower. The other bedroom has two queen beds and TV/DVD. Both bedrooms have balconies overlooking beautiful nature.

Access to the resort amenities can be acquired with a daily pass. There are water and amusement parks in the area, mini golf and a playground. Please, check Grizzly Jack's Grand Bear website for details and pricing.

While we welcome families, for adult-only gatherings all guests must be at least 21 years of age (no proms, college parties, etc.).

*Our Villa is part of a homeowner's association and common courtesy to our neighbors is a must. Noise levels must be held down after 10:00 pm and before 8:00 am. The Whirlpool tub must be filled to a designated level before turning on the jets. The filling process needs to be supervised by a responsible adult and carefully watched during the process. There is no tolerance for under aged drinking or partaking of illegal drugs. No pets or smoking is allowed in the Villa. Guests are not to adjust the settings of the water heater or for the appliances in the kitchen Standard check in is 3:00pm and check out is by 11:00am.*

Great location

Very large rooms and comfortable furnishings. Really enjoyed the whirlpool tub and the views from the balcony. Only downside was being able to hear the TV and music from the unit next door.

The Villa was fully stocked if we wanted to cook. The place was secluded but yet close to both Starved Rock and Matthiessen park! Enjoyed our weekend! Owner was in communication with us whenever we had a question.

Perfect location for starved rock

We enjoyed a two night stay near starved rock for a mid-week getaway. The property had everything we needed and we were comfortable and cool inside even though it was very hot outside! There was one issue with dirty sheets being left on the pullout couch, but the owner checked in during our stay and apologized for that when I mentioned it and said she would address it with the cleaning team in the future.

The property was well kept and clean. We arrived and were surprised to have a beautiful note and wine as a birthday gift ie reason for our mini vacation. Zina was helpful with the whole process and replied timely to messages and txt. Definitely recommend.

I've stayed at this cabin before and both times were incredible. Our 1st trip was cut short due to severe weather but coming back the stay was super enjoyable. Clean cabin with full amenities and some. It was a great place to stay and sleep in between exploring Starved Rock the surrounding parks.

Stayed for a weekend of hiking in the area. Lots of space for two couples and 3 kids. Only suggestion I have would be to have a few more towels.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay! Check in was super simple, and the owners checked in with us to ensure things were going well. The villa was immaculate, modern, & beautiful. When we arrived we were greeted with a bottle of wine, & a tray of candies for the kids. We did not need for anything! Not only were the basics provided (dish soap, laundry soap, etc.), but there was even a playpen for babies, & toys for older children. This was especially helpful to our group, which included a 3 month old child. Definitely recommend this property, especially for the price.

This was the ideal location, just minutes away from Starve Rock Park. The home was equipped with DVD player and movies to view. Really appreciated the balcony view in each bedroom. We plan to come back soon

Great place.

I had really great time with my friends and family. The villa was very clean and had everything. Even the owner left a champagne for us because it was a new year. Additionally, there are so many activities to do around. The indoor waterpark, the resort has very cute. I would definitely recommend this place
