Take a stroll along the lakefront or beach walks or enjoy a swim, boat, kayak or fish! The Lakes Entrance town centre is a short distance away and has great cafes, restaurants, mini golf and so many places to explore.

What a hidden gem! This is a very comfortable older style 3br house on an amazing property. Clean, with all facilities BUT the photos on the website do not do the views from the property justice. The outlook is simply magnificent with uninterrupted views from the township & lake on the left to the entrance & then vast lakes to the right / with a clear backdrop of the ocean. You can see the trawlers coming & going night & day. As a large well fenced property, there is plenty of room for cars & backyard cricket & very safe for a dog. We were only 2 people but a second bathroom & toilet would be important for a larger group. We are rebooking for later in 2026.

Long weekend stay

Beautiful views, kids had a great weekend away. Close to the park and skate ramps. Would stay there again.

Amazing views!

Lovely home with fantastic views in a quiet location, but only a few mins drive to town. Perfect for a getaway for the doggies with an enclosed big garden front and back. Highky reccomend!

Outstanding views

The property takes in the entire Lakes Entrance township, New Years Eve on the front deck was a real treat. My only suggestion for long stays is a few more utilities, which the property manager provided mid stay, as we stayed 11 night. A few little extras go a long way when staying a couple of weeks. Older style home in a Quiet location, huge enclosed backyard

Quick get away

Outstanding views you won’t be disappointed. House is what it is, no frills but comfy everything you need, the location and views make up for what the house lacks.

wonderful views and position

Great relaxing stay overlooking the water. The house itself needed some money injected into it. More fly wire screens , new mattresses, new couches needed and the fish smell in the fridge needed to go!

Property was secure for our dogs, and gave them plenty of space to run. We were visited most days by a local echidna which the kids enjoyed a lot.

Small Mercies

I'm Mary's daughter, I got to enjoy the little old house which was very comfortable and has a beautiful view from the dinning room window of Lakes Entrance, my mum had a heart attack and didn't get to stay there, but I found it relaxing at the end of the day after being at the hospital, she is still recovering in Canberra hospital at the moment but I'm sure that our little dogs had a great time and hopefully we will get to stay again. cheers June

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Lovely spot with great views of the Entrance and only a short drive into Lakes. Had a beautiful walking trail at our doorstep. The backyard and frontyard areas were great for our dog to run around and enjoy himself. Only negative was the fridge had leftover items in there from previous guests, including 10 day out of date milk. The fridge/freezer and air fryer all needed cleaning. Otherwise the house was like the photos.

The view from the property is fantastic. Sunrise every morning right in front.

The picture on your site needs to be updated. It was not what we expected when we arrived. The facade & back of property is in need of a coat of paint. The fly screen at the front does not slide resulting in flies getting in. Would be great if fire detectors r installed as mentioned in the amenities. Overall it is a very pleasant stay & would consider renting again.

Great Location, House Needs Improving

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were very impressed with the location of the house and it's spectacular view. Unfortunately there were a number of problems with the house and yard. The lawns weren't mowed, the living area hadn't been cleaned properly and there were a heap of spiders.You couldn't walk bare foot on the entries deck due to protruding nails and only one bedroom had a beside lamp.It wouldn't take much to make this a must stay place but for us it was a little disappointing.

Rustic charm

For travelers seeking a homey escape with stunning views, this quaint beach house in Lakes Entrance is a lovely option. Perched in an ideal spot, it offers some of the best panoramic views in the area—perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or soaking in a serene sunset. The house itself is clean, functional, and cozy, with a charm that makes it feel more like a home than just a holiday rental. With proper bedrooms, a comfy lounge, a full-sized fridge, and laundry facilities, it provides the comfort and practicality you won’t find in a hotel or resort. It’s perfect for families or anyone who prefers a self-contained space where you can cook, relax, and settle in. While the house exudes rustic charm, it’s clear that some updates and maintenance are a work in progress. The bathroom has been refreshed, and the bedrooms have a fresh coat of paint. However, some issues remain, like water stains on the ceiling in one bedroom and peeling paint in the hallway. These quirks add to the property’s “lived-in” character but may not appeal to everyone. A few functional areas also need attention. The outdoor BBQs are rusted and unsafe to use, the air fryer doesn’t work, and hand towels for the toilet are missing. Some basic kitchen essentials, like steak knives, would be a welcome addition, and while there’s a handy trolley for laundry, a proper laundry basket would make the experience more convenient.

Kalimna House Easter 2023

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was fantastic with beautiful views and plenty of space for the dog. The house was pleasant enough however there were quite a few issues which spoiled the experience. The mattresses were simply awful, too soft and no support whatsoever. This caused significant neck, shoulder and back pain and that is unacceptable. There were no detailed instructions on how to operate the oven, there was no hook or towel rack in the toilet for the hand towel. Also, having to BYO firewood is ridiculous - never have I seen this condition in an accommodation facility. There were no extra blankets provided for the bedroom which was very cold. The owner needs to replace all the mattresses immediately!
