Imagine being able to leave your car parked at your accommodation and walk everywhere! This is what all decked out at Penguin Mews offers its guests.
Our apartment will become your next favourite destination. It's most impressive feature is the huge front balcony, with incredible views of Merimbula Lake and the Bar. You could easily lose a few days reading and relaxing on the balcony.
We have two different units on offer:
PETS: Pets are not allowed in the three or 4 bedroom apartment.
For the two-bedroom option: Please note 1 pet is allowed upon application only. Please advise if you would like to bring a pet with you and we will send through the application request form

All decked out at Penguin Mews (Unit 9): Features 2 bedrooms (1 x queen and 2 x single beds) a full bathroom (with separate toilet), and a kitchen which include everything you would expect of a modern kitchen (e.g., dishwasher, microwave etc). Although there is only one bathroom, the toilet is separate from the shower area. This unit offers the visitor a large deck with BBQ, seating area and dining table with magical views across the lake to bar beach.

On the lake at Penguin Mews (Unit 7): This unit is a flat entry in and out, has great lake position and a rear fenced courtyard.

Lake View at Penguin Mews (Unit 1): Features two bedrooms (1 x Queen in Bedroom 1 and 1 x double and 1 x single in Bedroom 2) down stairs with the bathroom and toilet and the main living area, dining and kitchen upstairs. There are glorious views of Merimbula's stunning lake for the lounge and deck areas which extends all the way to bar beach and beyond.

Penguin Mews - Unit 14 offers a 3 or 4 bedroom option
This complex offers its visitors stunning lake, ocean and beach views for every vantage point. There is an under cover barbecue area, beautiful gardens, large saltwater solar-heated pool, and off-street parking right at the door to your unit. There is also a communal laundry to rear of the property.

The location

Penguin Mews Merimbula is right in the heart of Merimbula and directly across the road from Merimbula Lake. Surround by all the best cafés, beaches, playgrounds and shopping you will be spoilt for choice.

Communication with the host, when needed, was great. The location was fabulous, really can't beat it - just a 2min stroll to the centre of town, water views, your own parking space. Huge sliding doors that open to the front sitting area, where there's a picnic table - great for your morning coffee. The unit itself is older style and the furniture a bit dated, but it's clean, comfortable and had everything we needed (fridge, stove and oven, microwave, dishwasher, smart tv, wifi, washing machine, split system for heating/cooling). We had our dog with us, it was very dog friendly. My only suggestion for personal preference is to bring a foam topper for your bed if you don't like a firmer mattress (I like soft beds, I brought my topper, and was completely comfortable with that). We will definitely be back.

Mid-Week at Penguin Mews

I like staying at Penguin Mews because of its location and ease of parking. Yes it's getting a bit old now but it still offers the same sensational view of the lake so I can watch the tides come and go. I'll be back, cheers

Great location, bed and lounge suite defeinatly needs updating , was pretty uncomfortable. A few changes would make this apartment so much better.

Excellent location!

Excellent location, across from the water; quick stroll to shops and restaurants. Unit is accessible and has good amenities with all necessary kitchen supplies, microwave, stove and oven, full sized fridge and freezer and dishwasher. Unit also has a washing machine in the bathroom, heated towel rack and hair dryer. The cleanliness of the unit was lacking in the kitchen, living area and water closet, but the beds were very clean. As other reviews mentioned this unit is in need of a refresh. Communication with property management was excellent; very prompt and effective. Check in and check out were also very easy.

Did not match images in stayz

Location was the best thing about this stay. Condition of property was poorly maintained. Furniture was damaged carpet had big visible stains. Couch was not vacuumed and found dirt under the cushions. Courtyard was unappealing to say the least and had rotting fence palings and leaf litter. Needed a complete makeover.
