It is a decent place to stay. Some restaurants are close by as well as a handy kayak launch. There is room for improvement in the cleanliness area.

Thank you for the feedback. We apologize that the furnishings and TV did not meet your expectations. The house is an older home, but the owner does strive to make it comfortable and pleasant. We will share your feedback with the owner to see where any improvements might be made. We aim to be transparent about the property details, but understand when expectations are not fully met. We overall loved our stay. The place was quite filthy but when we mentioned it the company waived the cleaning fee and offered to send their cleaners back (we declined as we didn't want them in the house while we were here). The view of the bay was amazing. TONS of birds. The kids loved the crab trap. Plenty of space to hang out for our family of 6! We enjoyed the island, plenty of good food nearby & sites for the kids to see! Unfortunately there are no screens on the windows so it's really impossible to get fresh air in without bugs. The dirty windows really impede the view of the bay. There are other things that showed how run down the house is... gate falling apart, loose boards on the deck, wobbly toilets, loose shower controls, the main shower valve was messed up so hot water was coming out of the tub filler when the shower was on & the shower was hot & cold. The showers were hard to turn off & dripped a lot. The main toilet was extremely hard to flush. Great stock of pots & pans, possibly one of the best rental kitchens I've stayed in! Some of the electrical was a little wonky, lights not working on the deck, flickering, etc. The dirty floors were really the biggest issue to me but i appreciated them refunding the cleaning fee. I really hope the owner will do a deep clean. I'm guessing it'll continue to be an issue because i see other reviews with similar complaints. Overall it was a great trip. The bay side of the island was perfect for little kids to swim.
Great view
Crumbs on the furniture when we got there
Dirty floor in bathroom
Dust bunny & dried pee 🤢

Thank you for your detailed and thoughtful feedback. We are glad to hear you and your family enjoyed the stay overall, especially the bay views, wildlife, and the space for your group. It is great to know the kitchen and location worked so well for you. We sincerely apologize for the cleanliness concerns and appreciate your understanding in allowing us to address it with a cleaning fee refund. This is not the standard we aim to provide, and your feedback has been shared with our housekeeping team to ensure improvements, including deep cleaning. We also regret the maintenance issues you encountered. These have been shared with our team for review and follow up. Thank you again for your feedback. We truly appreciate it and hope to provide you with a smoother, more comfortable stay in the future.

Lovely Property

We loved the property! Great location, we walked to dinner 2 nights to restaurants across the street. The view on the back porch was amazing. We watched planes come in and take off. The furniture on the back porch was so comfortable. Beds were comfortable and house was well-kept and stocked with basic essentials for the kitchen and bathroom. The walk to the beach was very short. There was a long walk on the pier and across the sand to get to the beach. The temps were cooler so it was perfect for us, but would probably be a hard during the heat of the summer. Check-in process was simple, we received the code promptly at 3 pm on the guest portal. The cleaning crew was there when we arrived so we did have to wait a bit, but they were running late due to it being spring break week. It did seem like some areas the cleaners just sprayed and didn't even wipe down, but overall the house was clean. My only complaint really would be the fridge smelled like bleach so much. We would definitely recommend and hope to return in the future.
