Amazingly beautiful location, right on the beach! The house had ample space, the hosts were very receptive to issues we came across. The kitchen was a little less clean than houses we have stayed in the past, especially for the cost of this house. Overall we had a wonderful stay, enjoyed every minute of it.

This property is absolutely beautiful. Idyllic location and house designed to take advantage of stunning views. Accessible to services, Acadia, and other nearby attractions. Outstanding communication with host. All elements combined for memorable family vacation.

We appreciate your response, David. I remember the first time Cheryl and I sat in the Adirondacks in the garden overlooking Frenchman Bay, it was a beautiful evening, and the seals were out and their songs echoed across Raccoon Cove. We immediately fell in love with the place and the setting. We spend a good bit of time over at Acadia National Park on MDI and it is always nice to come home and look at MDI from a distance and to enjoy the peace and quiet of our place on the bay.

Looks exactly like the pictures! View is stunning. No AC is tough if you go during a heat wave but that is rare.

This was the perfect location for our families! There's so much to explore outside, but also quiet gardens to sit and read. It made visiting both sides of Acadia very easy! They had everything we needed to cook meals and plenty of room for everyone!

Beautiful Views!

We had a great stay! We were looking for a house a bit out of town with great views to spend time in and this didn’t disappoint! I’d definitely recommend it. The house had everything we needed and the owner was super helpful with questions!

Bar Harbor marathon

Beautiful view of the bay - Bar Harbor and Schoodic peninsula. Comfortable home - open, and relaxing. A great autumn atmosphere. Wonderful time with the family.

Great Views

We had a great week at the house. Easy clear instructions for check in. House was clean and in good condition. The views from the yard and access to the water were fantastic. The kids had a great time playing in the tide pools at low tide and there was a nice pebble beach right down the street too.

Beautiful view and location

The property that this house sits on is amazing. The garden was in bloom with bees buzzing, and a doe who came through there to nibble on some plants. Beach access down to the ocean. The inside of the property was also really nice, plenty of space for our family of 6. Only about a 35 minute drive into Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Highly recommend this property

Wonderful family holiday!

This was a great week for our family. We enjoyed being right on the water. We put our kayak in the water on day one and left it tied up all week. We spent a lot of time on the water and in the large, shaded backyard. With little kids, it was nice being close to stores in Ellsworth. It was an easy drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The view of the mountains, sunrises, and sunsets were beautiful. We also had a porcupine cross the backyard every evening around 7:30pm. The house met all of our needs!

We often plan out autumn, winter, and early spring visits to coincide with moonrises that come shortly after sunset, especially beautiful during full moon nights. Fabulous home with stunning view

What a fabulous home! We absolutely LOVED this home. Views were stunning. The private rocky beach provided hours of exploring time for our grandkids ages 8 and 4. And the wildlife was a great surprise. A mom and 2 baby deer walking right across the beautiful yard. Our grandkids didn't want to go anywhere else! House had all you could want to make dinner in the kitchen or grilling. The drive to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor was about 35 minutes away, depending on time of day. Everything was perfect.

Stunning Views and Beautiful Home!

This home is just incredible! It is close to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park but is far enough away that you can escape the crowds and truly relax. The windows looking out to the water were so wonderful and we enjoyed having coffee on the couch while taking in the view. The backyard and access to the water were also amazing, and our kids loved exploring in the tide pools! This was a wonderful spot for our families to relax, play games, and enjoy the outdoors! The owners have everything you might need to cook a meal at home, and provide plenty of towels, soap, blankets etc. to make the stay very comfortable. All of the beds were comfortable and clean, and we will definitely stay again when we are back in Maine!

Future lovely home

The property that we booked does not look like the property in the photo. They are in the middle of renovation but neglected to tell us. We still had a lovely week. The property is beautiful and overlooks the water. It felt private even though there were houses on each side. The location was good. I would stay again in the future if they finish the remodel and add some things to make it more guest friendly.

The Hurricane Lee Visit to Loon Ledge

The Hurricane was just a nor'easter for Loon Ledge, but the waves at Schoodic Point--oh my! What a great house in which to see the power of nature. James Mitchell kept checking in with us to make sure we were okay during the storm. On our seven days on Frenchman Bay, we headed out daily for mountain hikes at Acadia and beach scrambles on the ledges and headlands of Schoodic. Loon Ledge was a magical place in which to unwind after the activity of the day. We brought a spotting scope and set it up in the garden overlook to see (17) seals lolling around in the middle of the bay at dusk -- as we sipped some Downeast Cider. Perfection!

Peaceful and Relaxing

We enjoyed our stay. The property is a good 30 minutes away from Acadia so the back and forth travel was a little unexpected. The house itself is very accommodating. Especially if your group is up to 6 people. I would be a good idea to add more plates and heavy glasses.

Gorgeous property and location. A million-dollar view and within driving distance of everything you’d need and want in Acadia and Bar Harbor — but still far enough away to feel remote and private. Highly recommend.

Spectacular Views/Tired Furniture

Loved the location and enjoyed hours of bird watching and star gazing before and after exploring Acadia. Wonderful yard provided hours of enjoyment for our two young grandchildren. My only hesitation with recommending the property is that the furnishings were dated and bedrooms upstairs had minimal furnishings. With that said, we created wonderful memories there and would go back in an instant.
