Located in Matapalo just 500 meters to the beach, this 3 bedroom, 2 bath home is close enough to enjoy all the amenities of Manuel Antonio without paying the price! This lovely home is located on the main road down to the beach, close to Guava Lodge and the Super del Mar, as well as the Turtle Rescue Center! With a large open living room, dining room, and huge open area this home is a great alternative to the tiny overpriced condos or expensive hotels in the tourist district! The master bedroom has a queen sized bed and its own bathroom, and the two guest bedrooms are next to the other bathroom off the main living area. One bedroom has two twin sized beds, the other has a full. A perfect option for families coming down for vacation! There is also a laundry room with washer and dryer! Playa Matapalo is a small community just 20 minutes down the highway from Quepos and Manuel Antonio, and 15 minutes from the surf paradise of Dominical, with a beautiful beach that is not nearly as busy as the beaches in Manuel Antonio. Experience the two best tourist areas and be able to get away for a fraction of the price!

**NEW IN 2018** Thanks to the talents a local builder and his crew...a rancho has been added to the property in the garden area so now there is a covered place to sit outside and enjoy a cup of coffee while listening to the surf and wildlife!

Not a great house

We left the house after 6 days. No wifi, no "garden surrounded by hibiscus" no where to sit outside the house. Water leak in the laundry room. Dead beetles on the floors every morning. Dirty upholstery in the living room, broken shelves in the fridge. No A/C and not all the fans were working. No hot water except for in the showers. These are things that should be in the description on line. Landlord did not attempt to repair until we threatened to move out. Did not get any rent back, therefore paid A full months rent for 6 nights. Would not recommend this house to anyone, We feel the landlord should have reimbursed us some of our rent due to not fulfilling their obligations. Ripped off.!!

we are sorry to hear you were not happy with your stay here in beautiful Costa Rica. This 3 bedroom home has 4 fans one that is mobile. Once they informed us of one fan not working had electrician as soon as we could over holiday weekend to fix the fan in the third bedroom before any of their other guests arrived. The description does not include AC, but a portable AC unit was offered free of charge, and hot water is usually only in the showers here. Guests informed us her sister would not like staying in a location so far from the airport and they did not want to drive so far to pick her up. They decided to stay in Jaco. Once this decision was made, the complaints started, nothing was stated until day 5, and we fixed everything immediately. The guests let us know one bath mat and towel had a stain on it out of the many towels in the house. We immediately replaced them since maid must have not seen this.This is Costa Rica and the tropical rain forest, and we offer daily maid service for any guests that so choose.The guest broke owners brand new glass stovetop and did not let us know. The guests just said they were leaving and immediately started asking for their deposit and refunds. So it wasn't until I went to let electrician in for the one fan in the third bedroom that it was noticed.The owner did not charge them extra and refunded their deposit. Being high season owner was not able to book the rest of the month on such short notice, and after all items were addressed, guests insisted on breaking their lease and leaving.

Great stay in Matapalo

The place we stayed was clean and comfortable. It was within walking distance to the beach and several local restaurants. Paul and Janene were very welcoming and helpful.

good value, stores and retaurants with in walking distance, and the beach.

i stayed in Casa Bella i month , jan29th - feb 26th. the overall condition of the house was very good, manager Paul and his wife Jeanne were just great, they helped us with rides to attractions and were right there when something broke and had it fixed right away. the house was quiet, loved being woken up by birds every day. the weather was hotter than expected for this time of the year and a air conditioner in the bedrooms would have been all that was needed. as fans just did not keep it cool enough. paul went out of his way to help when i forgot my bag, he had it sent to me on Sansa to the airport. i would stay there again if i stayed in that area. but beware the prices for store bought good can be high in Costa Rica, they are based on the USA prices and not cheap. Thank you Paul and Jeanne for being there when i needed a hand.

close to the beach

This property is very close to the beach. Maybe a 5 minute walk. It does have good internet and cable. It is very roomy with fans in all rooms. The refrigerator needs the shelves fixed which we notified the manager. All in all for the price we had a comfortable place close to the beach with secure parking. Angel across the street is a great neighbor and does horseback tours. You will definitely get the feel of the locality being here. A few iguanas and mountain chickens will keep you entertained when having coffee outside. The place could use some gardening work to bring out the amazing flora that surrounds the property. I would come back. There are different waterfalls within a half hour drive.

Nice vacation home

The house has every thing you need for comfort. Close to beach and monkeys and sloths. We enjoyed our time there.
