We had flagged this reservation "Exhausted Traveller/Does not read anything" before the Guest arrived. Our team experienced the Guest's ire long before the Guest arrived in Canmore. For future travellers reading this, we would like to clarify some points: --This is a single unit in a 200 Unit Condo Building. We manage 3 individual units in this building, and 20 around Canmore. --Each Condo Unit has a different Owner. This specific unit has a Pet Fee. This is disclosed in our listing. --There was a resort-wide scheduled plumbing repair on one day of the Guest's stay, which was disclosed in our listing in advance. The stay dates were discounted in advance due to this, and communicated in the Listing. No further compensation was necessary. --The Guest was offered a refund for early departure, etc. The Guest declined everything our team offered. --The unit looks exactly as advertised in the photos. There is no photography trickery for any of our listings. The photos are this exact unit. "The Customer is always right in matters of taste". This Guest is welcome to state "there is nothing cute about it", but you can decide for yourself. We think it's cute, and priced very well. --The Guest learned of the dogs only because the Guest tried to gain access to another unit, resulting in the dogs doing what dogs do: bark at intruders. The Guest could not hear the dogs from their unit. This resulted in two team members driving to the resort immediately to help the Guest who claimed that the Unit Access Code didn't work. --During this exchange with 2 team members onsite, and one on the phone trying to assist the Guest in referring to the detailed arrival instructions, our team learned that the Guest was travel-weary. This was the end of a long road trip. So, with that context in mind, we hope future travellers may take this negative review with a grain of salt. Sometimes we have travellers who arrive hungry, tired, after driving far distances, and like to take their frustrations out on whoever is in the way. In these situations, no amount of prompt assistance, kindness, grace, or patience can turn around a guest who is upset before they arrive. And it doesn't matter if the property is clean, well-maintained, well-equipped, well-stocked, and well-priced. It can still be called the "worst VRBO to date". Please be kinder to the Front Line Staff you encounter in your journeys. You may be surprised at how many times they've been yelled at in an average day. They are often the punching bag for weary travellers.
