Tucked away among towering pine trees, with mountain views in the distance, Homewood Forest Retreat is a place to slow down, reconnect and experience something truly memorable. From the moment you arrive, there is a feeling of being somewhere completely removed from the everyday.

This unique log home offers the perfect balance of seclusion and adventure, just 5 minutes from Alexandra and the Otago Rail Trail, 10 min from Clyde and an hour from all the attractions of Queenstown, Wanaka and the ski fields.

Spend your days exploring the forest and nearby cycle trails, or simply slow down and enjoy the magic of the property. Relax in the spa pool beneath the spectacular night sky, enjoy a picnic among the pines, gather around the open fire or simply soak up the peaceful surroundings from one of the outdoor dining or seating areas tucked around the property, allowing you to follow the sun throughout the day.

Spanning two levels, this enchanting home is filled with warmth and character.
The heart of the home is the spacious open-plan kitchen and dining area, flowing through to a sunken lounge with an open fireplace and dramatic cathedral-style windows. The large windows frame beautiful views of the surrounding forest and mountains, creating a wonderful connection with the outdoors.

Sleeping arrangements:
Downstairs - 2 king bedrooms sharing a connected Jack-and-Jill bathroom
1 super king bedroom with its own ensuite bathroom
Upstairs - 1 loft bedroom with a super king bed
A large open-plan TV and relaxation area with 2 double beds
Please note: There is no bathroom upstairs. Guests staying in the upstairs loft bedroom or TV area will need to use the bathrooms downstairs.

The property also has another two cabins should you require additional accommodation for a larger group. We can host up to 14 people. See our other two listings under my profile for more information. Should you wish to book the entire property this can be arranged at an additional fee.

Guest access:
The entire house and its immediate surroundings. There is also a hot tub / spa pool which guests are welcome to use.
We also have 2 E-bikes, 1 regular mountain bike and golf clubs and fishing rods for hire.

Homewood is a peaceful forest retreat, and we ask all guests to respect the tranquillity of the property and surrounding area.
No parties and no loud noise after 10pm. Please take a moment to review the house rules before requesting to book.
