Great view with stunning sunsets. Beautiful windows lent themselves to enjoying the lake even when indoors. The dining room table is AMAZING and seats the entire crowd at the house. Ceiling fans in the bedrooms would be an excellent addition. A dimmer for the light fixtures over the main dining table would enhance the ambiance. The lack of railings on the stairway to the 2nd level could be problematic for less mobile guests. The hosts were very accessible & quickly responded to any needs. Overall we had a wonderful experience for our multigenerational group.

We were blown away by the cleanliness, organization, and beauty of this location. Any and all questions we had were quickly and efficiently answered by the host. The long wooden dining table was the focal point of many hours of fellowship and fun. The view could not be beat.

Beautiful lakehouse

My family and I really enjoyed this lake house. Communication was quick and helpful. Enjoyed the view with the large windows from anywhere in the house.

Had my moms 89th birthday at a beautiful house that has the most beautiful view. She hasn’t stopped thanking me. Worth the trip 😊

Beautiful Lakefront property

The property was a beautiful stay, my family and I quite enjoyed it. The lack of Tv on the property allowed my family to spend more time talking together and going outside. Because of the equipment available, i was able to go paddle boating for the very first time. We also enjoyed making all lot of great food on the outdoor firepit. Overall, would recommend this property to anyone looking for a family getaway.

Beautiful lakefront views

Comfortable and rustic lakeside cottage. Loved watching the sunsets and the water birds. Very quiet and peaceful area. Beds and linens were wonderful. Town of St. Albans is quaint. Nice shops, good restaurants and cafes. Location was about 45 minutes from Stowe, 30 minutes from Burlington, and 15 minutes from the Canadian border. The owner was wonderful - provided all the information needed to make our stay enjoyable. Our one wish would be faster, more robust and reliable internet access. Overall, we really loved our visit.

We really enjoyed this property. The view of the water and location with a private dock was lovely. It was near beautiful parks and other sites. The owners were very pleasant, helpful, and communicative. The reason I didn't give all five stars were some safety concerns. In the stairwell going to the second floor, there were no handrails and the stair risers were of uneven height. We had elderly people in our party and that made the upstairs very difficult to access safely. There also appeared to be only one smoke detector in the entire house. Thank you for everything.

We understand how important safety is when traveling with loved ones, and after sharing your feedback with the homeowner, they’d like to provide some clarification:- The stair access is mentioned in the listing description so guests can be aware of the layout ahead of time.- The stair risers are uniform in height, though we understand that navigating stairs can still be challenging for some guests.- There is a smoke detector on both levels of the home. The second-floor unit is located in a spot that may be difficult to see, but we’ve confirmed it is in place and functional.Thanks for taking the time to leave your review.

Terrible gas smell could not stay, can’t get all of my money back have to go to court for it!

When we arrive, there was a terrible gas smell in the property so we opened up the doors and went outside for 30 minutes until it got too cold to stay out and then we went back in the house and shut the doors. The smell was too bad to remain downstairs so we tried to sleep upstairs, but it was terrible there as well so I called the property manager. He lives an hour away, but showed up at 11 PM and called the gas company who began a protocol so he had us get dressed, pack up all of our belongings and help us load them back into our car. We were blocked in by the firetruck, so couldn’t leave for our hotel for 30 minutes they said at that point in time that there was no reading for gas in the house, but that we had to wait for the gas company to show up before we could know for sure so we went to a hotel. The groceries that we bought for our weekend with my girlfriends from my childhood were ruined, our entire plan was put to waste and now EVOLVE does not want to give us back all of our money. I have to go to court to get my money back and this is just a shame. I will never rent from VRBO again. The photos of this property make it seem like it is spacious, but the living room is very small, the refrigerator was very dirty when we got there, and I’m guessing that because we came in the weekend after the eclipse perhaps the gas tank was empty, which is why it was admitting such a terrible smell.We both had bad headaches when we left the property and now this whole thing is one.
