Welcome to our beloved family home now with fewer kids and a lot more room for guests!

This house has been the heart of the Mazvihwa family for decades. Now that all the children have flown the nest (and taken their noise and laundry with them), Mrs. Mazvihwa legendary in our circles for her cooking, storytelling, and refusal to let guests leave hungry, decided to keep the tradition alive by opening our doors to travellers.

She’s always believed strangers are just friends we haven’t fed yet. So, whether you're passing through or planning a longer stay, you'll be welcomed like family—minus the awkward childhood photos on the walls (we've hid those).

Our 6-bedroom, 5-bath home sleeps 12+ people comfortably—so bring the whole crew, or enjoy it all to yourself like royalty. Optional extras like a personal chef, butler, or nanny are available, because hey—who doesn’t want to feel like they’re in a Netflix series for a weekend?

We didn’t exactly choose the neighborhood...it chose us! The Mazvihwa family home has been rooted in this beautiful part of Burnside for years. It's peaceful, secure, and surrounded by nature, with granite boulders and mature trees that make you feel like you're living in a postcard (or maybe a very fancy nature documentary).

We love that it offers a perfect mix of privacy and charm, while still being close to town when you need it. It’s the kind of place where you can hear the birds in the morning, enjoy a braai in the afternoon, and fall asleep to the sound of crickets and not car horns. Plus, with 24-hour security and a strong community vibe, we’ve always felt at ease here. It’s a special spot, and we’re thrilled to now share it with guests from all over the world.

We offer the space and comforts of a boutique hotel with 6 bedrooms, 5 baths, a pool, tennis court, and designer suites but with the soul of a family home that’s hosted years of laughter, storytelling, and (very competitive) Sunday braais.

The granite kopjes and boulders scattered around the property give it a natural charm reminiscent of the iconic Matobos Hills, while mature trees, water features, and garden views create a peaceful, almost spa-like atmosphere minus the tiny towels.
