The house was very clean and well organized upon arrival, and the hot tub and sauna were amazing! The host was very responsive with any questions we had and the house was intentionally set up and stocked which made the stay even more special. It was such a relaxing and peaceful spot, we would definitely love to come back!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The home was exceptionally comfortable, beautifully kept, and thoughtfully appointed with everything we could possibly need. From the moment we arrived, it felt warm, welcoming, and very much like a home away from home.The attention to detail really stood out, and it was clear that the hosts have put a great deal of care into making their guests feel comfortable. It was peaceful, relaxing, and the perfect place to return to at the end of each day.We truly enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again. A lovely home, wonderful hospitality, and an experience we would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. Thank you for making our stay such an enjoyable one!

Beautiful property! This is the 2nd year we stayed here -amazing experience again. Even had wild turkeys come all the way to the back porch.

My little family and I had a wonderful time. The place was beautiful, clean and well set up for our 10 day stay. The host was very nice to deal with and we wouldn't hesistate to stay here again!

Everything about this little gem is perfect. The secluded area, the cleanliness, the lil added touches, the hot tub and fire pit, the comfort of the bed, the books and board games, access to Netflix and the contact with the host.Beautiful and highly recommend

Ski getaway

We loved our stay in the Kootenay! Equidistant from Whitewater and Red Mountain, this VRBO was perfect. Quiet, relaxing, and comfortable. We will be back, and hopefully will make it on a powder cycle!

Great Stay!

This place is perfect if you are wanting a secluded location outside of Nelson. The house is well appointed with towels, cookware and fast internet. The host is super helpful, responds quickly to everything. The hot tub is nice and the view off of the back patio is anmazing. Overall great stay and we can’t wait to come back.

Snowboard Trip

We booked the Natural Habitat Guesthouse for a couple nights while in the area snowboarding. It was the perfect location for our trip. The house was clean and had everything we needed. We'll be back next year. Thanks!

Tranquility

Absolutely amazing place to get away from the craziness of work and noisy city life. My dog had the time of his life exploring through the ferns and forest- literally inhaling nature! Fantastic experience! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful place with us.

Great place to relax anytime of year

This is a fantastic property. Everything was as described, and the place has every detail taken care of. We made use of all of the amenities… hot tub, sauna, and a fancy shower. We also enjoyed a breakfast down the road at the local restaurant which was one of favourites.

Amazing hideout!

My wife and I found this place when looking for a quiet getaway for our anniversary. This property was heavenly! It was exactly what we wanted -a quiet, forest feeling retreat while still feeling luxurious. The owner puts lots of little touches into the decor, like books, extra blankets etc. The cafe down the road was delicious, and we left feeling incredibly well rested and eager to return.

Perfect getaway

The owner was easy to work with. Property directions were simple to follow. Property looked exactly like the photos. Interior decoration was gorgeous with very relaxing colour tones. Great central location. Very private. Hot tub, sauna, cold plunge, BBQ all worked well and were great amenities. Would highly recommend

Pure Tranquility

This a stunning home away from home, and just what we needed to relax and unwind. The fall colours that surrounded us were unforgettable. Our stay here was truly exceptional. This home is a perfect blend of beauty and comfort, with every detail thoughtfully curated. The stunning surroundings and peaceful atmosphere made it a sanctuary we’ll never forget. Stunning home, but our stay raised health, functionality, privacy, and response-time concerns.We booked for the hot tub and electric sauna—key features—but neither worked safely or as advertised. On arrival the hot tub water was green/grey, opaque, and smelled non-chlorinated; you couldn’t see the side jets. We messaged the host immediately with photos via VRBO, then texted both numbers and left a voicemail. No reply for 18 hours, until a co-host responded. VRBO confirmed there was no app issue.A technician arrived and voiced serious concern about water quality. Despite chlorine pucks in the floater, filtration looked long-neglected and there was effectively no chlorine residual—unsanitary. We’d been told the tub was “shocked” the day before; the tech said the water state made that impossible. After a full drain, filter/intake work, refill, and sanitation (3 hours), we were told the tub needed 24 hours before safe use—i.e., not until the last night.The barrel sauna (Harvia 3.5 kW) underperformed: after 1.5 hours the rocks barely produced warm steam, only one row of the heating elements actually works, and drafts through the floorboards kept it chilly.Privacy concern: one exterior camera appears to have line of sight to a bathroom window with no blind.The house is well-appointed, but the core amenities we booked for were unusable or unsafe, and communication lagged. Please improve hot-tub maintenance, repair the sauna, add a bathroom blind, and respond faster to guests
