Perfect location

My husband and I always come to Callaway for the lights every year with friends and family. We normally stay closer to Callaway but this house is a perfect location, just a 10 minute ride to the entrance and you come in from the south so you avoid the lines to get in. Aside from the location the house is well stocked and we really enjoyed the screened porch. Our grandson loved the catch and release fishing in the pond. The decorations inside and outside the house were so festive and well done. Iā€™m sure the house would be equally great anytime of year and we look forward to coming back.

My stay at Karenā€™s Cabin was wonderful! The cabin was very nice and abundantly supplied with essentials plus books, games and toys. It was quiet and peacefulā€¦exactly what I was looking for. I was traveling alone and this location gave me the seclusion I was seeking along with the added bonus of feeling secure since there were a few families close by. I enjoyed spending time with the ducks and saw deer as well. It was easy to travel a short distance to Callaway and about a 25 minute drive to Columbus. Karen was a great hostess, texting to make sure I had everything I needed. I hope to visit again with family. It was wonderful!!!

Great Getaway

Absolutely enjoyed this place. House is very well kept up and very clean and relaxing. Outside is too. Really enjoyed catching fish in the pond and grilling steaks on the pit. Back porch in back overlooks the pond. Perfect in morning with a cup of coffee or 2 or 3. Ms Karen was a great host. Always checking in to see how we were doing. Definitely recommend this place.

Peaceful and Serene

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely cabin. It is well stocked and tastefully decorated. The owner made sure we had everything we needed and gave us excellent recommendations of places to eat and things to see in the area. It is an idyllic setting...peaceful and quiet. We highly recommend this cabin!

This cabin was the perfect place for my family & I to stay while in town for a high school graduation. The 6 of us enjoyed every minute of our 6-night stay! It was clean, decorated nicely & amenities were provided throughout. It offered plenty of living space, all the sounds of nature & so much more! We'll be booking this cabin again the next time we're in town!

Great location for Calloway Garden Visit

We liked the location, easy to get to Calloway Gardens and not a bad drive to LaGrange. Lovely view from the back deck of the pond. Very quiet and private. Had a great time!

Our family LOVED our stay!

Karen & Jim were amazing hosts! The house was super clean, fully stocked with anything you could need, and more, gorgeous exterior, and close to FDR State Park, Pine Mntn & Callaway! The hosts were prompt to answer questions, the furor was great, loved the screened in porch, and even had visits from ā€œDuckyā€ the duck and Samson the dog. HIGHLY recommend this location!!!!

My Favorite VRBO

We chose to stay at this beautiful home for 3 nights while in Georgia for my daughterā€™s wedding. It is AMAZING. So many special touches to make you feel like home. We loved the ducks & Samson the beautiful dog who lives near by at owners home. My twin grandaughters loved fishing, feeding the ducks & the toys. We all loved the screen porch overlooking the pond. Highly recommend! We will be back! The owners are wonderful! Thanks for a perfect stay

Excellent location for Callaway Gardens and many other local attractions. Great communication with owners and a great clean cabin in the woods. Well supplied kitchen for cooking meals.

Amazing get away

The property and the cabin is so beautiful and so cozy! We loved every minute of it! The house is stocked completely with everything you could need. Karen and her husband are the most precious people. My daughter loved Ducky the duck and Sampson the dog. Definitely the perfect getaway.

You will not want to leave

Very clean and some of the best sleep I have ever had. It is well above Home Away From Home. Most important the owners are absolutely some of the nicest people you will ever have the pleasure of knowing. It will definitely be my go to place when we are back in the area.

Relaxing get away

This was one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed! didn't even see one spider web! Very well stocked! So very tranquil sitting out on the screened porch! The trees were magnificent! We had wanted to just have a few days of relaxation and this fit the bill perfect! We enjoyed visiting with the two resident ducks and feeding them some crackers. And Samson, the residents dog, was such an awesome dog! It was just what we had hoped the get away would be! Perfect!

Great stay - my son loved it!

My family and I stayed here in April 2024. Jim and Karen were great hosts. They were responsive and very kind. My 4-year old son caught his first fish on their pond, right next to the house. Very highly recommend.

Girlfriend's Getaway

The property was absolutely perfect. Quiet, serene, relaxing, homey and very comfortable for the visit. Pictures were accurate the decorations were lovely. Small details like decorating for upcoming holidays to a local pet that visits with visitors! The screened in porch with the decorative lights overlooking the lake was the perfect location for a weekend getaway or a longer vacation. The house was well stocked with everything we needed to make our visit feel like home. Will make this a return location for our next visit.

Very beautiful home

Cozy. Quaint. Rustic charm with a ā€œBoho Chic Twistā€ we loved everything about it. All the necessities were right at hand. The Iron Horse Grille and Carriage and Horses were the best eats ever. Gorgeous area. Lots to do. we will beg to come back.

Peaceful and quiet!

The cabin was wonderful and beautifully decorated for Christmas. Everything was perfect during our stay. There were two full bathroomsā€”one with a tub and one with a shower. Neither were connected to a bedroom. It wasnā€™t a problem but just a different type of building design.

A beautiful/peaceful get away

The host are amazing. Also available if there any issues. Quick to respond and very attentive. The cabin is a home away from home and better. Everything you need and more to make your stay easy and comfortable. Always clean, nicely decorated. Beautiful lake in the back and at night time the beautiful sounds of the wild life.
