Beautiful property with amazing views . The host is most accommodating and very prompt to reply to any questions . Great for larger families .

The weather wasn't great, but the views are still able to be enjoyed of the lake. Happy to hear the space was great for your family gathering.

Cottage was big and spacious. Lots of room and options to sit and relax. Beds are comfortable and rooms are decent sizes all with great views. Stairs down to the water are not steep so my young kid was able to use them easily. The shallow walk in water and “beach” area was also very helpful for the kids. Kitchen is well stocked with necessities. Property and cottage was clean. Laundry and AC were nice cottage bonuses. We had a wonderful time and we were all sad to leave

Thanks for review Haley. The shallow water has always been a special feature as so many cottages have weeds if they have shallow water. The levels were higher this year due to rain and downflow to Muskoka water shed. AC has almost become a necessity with the hot summers. Glad you enjoyed the cottage so much -welcome back anytime.

Wonderful cottage overlooking Wood Lake. The interior was easily large enough for eight persons (adults and children) to be together and spend time apart. The water was warm and the depth increased only gradually, which meant that children could play safely without adults needing to accompany them in the water.Everything was spick and span upon arrival and everything worked exactly as described.

Our weather was perfect and we lived on or in the water enjoying all the water sports! The swing and slide was a bonus and kept a three year old busy! The indoor open concept was ideal for meal prep, dining, and indoor cards/games. A special reunion for all!

Overall, a wonderful cottage. Heather was very responsive and easy to deal with. This place really lived up to the description. My family and I had a wonderful week on Wood Lake. It's nice and quiet, especially on weekdays. The views from the cottage ensure you don't forget where you are. The dock gets full sun all day, and when that's too much, the deck offers shade with the great view. The paddle boat and kayaks were nice amenities. The BBQ was in good shape, had a full tank of propane, and the grill was relatively clean. The common areas are generously proportioned, allowing for activities and relaxation in many spaces. The small selection of books and toys was nice. The kitchen is spacious, well equipped and has relatively new appliances. The air conditioning worked well. It was an easy drive to the shops in Bracebridge.

Perfect family getaway

This property has everything - loads of space indoors with quality decor and furnishings. A nice blend of modern and rustic. The kitchen/dining area is huge and so well-stocked you feel right at home. But the best part is the access to Wood Lake. The views are beautiful, and the shallow water was perfect for kiddos and adults to swim. The host was super responsive and helpful. Couldn't ask for more, and would love to go back next year!

Our multigenerational family really enjoyed staying at Heather’s cottage for the week. The lake access is amazing for kids as it’s shallow entry and the paddle boards and kayaks were well used by our family. The view of the lake from the property is stunning. There is no railing on the stairs to the basement so young kids should be monitored if it’s in use, but there’s also a door which is a good safety measure. Heather was very accommodating to us and our dogs and she was always quick to respond to questions. Thank you for a great stay!

Great location on calm water

Location on of the cottage is good. Dock is nice and big on calm part of the lake. Good for swimming and kayaking. Lots of room in the cottage upstairs nice and open. Good size main bathroom upstairs but the bathroom downstairs was a bit tight. Lots of space outside for kids to run around and play games. A table outside on the patio would of been good. A/C and wifi work well. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the cottage and would go back.

An Idyllic Cottage Week

The first thing that struck us was what a wonderful location it was. There was a grassy area in the back for lawn games, a beautiful waterfront providing shallow entry to the lake and a great glass fronted deck giving way to spectacular views. The interior of the cottage was exactly as the pictures showed...nicely decorated and very comfortable. The kitchen was large and well equipped with modern appliances. The large dining room table seated 9 with no problem. All of the bedrooms were very comfortable. Everything was left clean and well organized. The granny suite was an amazing extra when travelling with the extended family. Wood Lake is great for swimming, fishing, paddle boarding and kayaking Heather was an amazing host always readily available to provide help when needed. We had a wonderful week on Wood Lake and would highly recommend this cottage to others.
