Overall, I enjoyed the wooded location, it was nice to have privacy among the trees. The kitchen was well appointed, and I liked the open concept living area. It seems that the dining room and living room furniture had been updated recently and we noticed that. The beds were fairly comfortable and we did appreciate the blackout shades. The kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean, but I did find issue with the dust. There was a lot of it on the beams and behind furniture, etc. I attribute this to the fact that it is a dog friendly home so I assume that is why. I also had to dust off all the fans before we used them. I think the grill could use some love, because when we went to use the grill the first day there was a grease fire, so we ended up having to clean it out before using it. The A/C was great when it got really hot later in the week, but they were not installed properly and that was something we contacted the owner about. He was able to bring us some packing tape to seal the openings around the A/C's to keep out the bugs. Other than that, we had a fantastic time, and we love Frye Island, and have been coming to the island for over 5 years. It's an awesome place to be.
