Inside you’ll find a spacious living area with a dining table, a comfortable leather lounge suite, and a cosy wood-burning fireplace. The property features central heating and cooling throughout.

Winton Cottage is just a short stroll from Maldon’s historic main street. Surrounded by picturesque cottage gardens, mature trees, and birdlife, the property offers two terraces and a gas BBQ — ideal for alfresco dining on warm evenings.

Property Details

Bedrooms
Three queen bedrooms, all with high-quality queen-size beds. The main bedroom includes a private en-suite bathroom. The second and third bedrooms share a bathroom located just across the hallway

Daybed (Parlour)
The parlour features a quality daybed with sprung mattresses that converts into either a single or queen-size bed, providing extra sleeping space when needed. It also serves as a quiet reading room.

Studio Apartment
For larger groups we offer our private studio apartment, which includes two single beds and its own bathroom. The studio is available for groups of 7 or more or if the other bedrooms are occupied (due to guests special requirements) .

Bathrooms
Three bathrooms in total (en-suite, studio, main / shared).

Kitchen
The recently refurbished kitchen is equipped with a modern oven, stove-top, dishwasher, microwave, and all essential cookware.

A beautifully restored antique wood stove (non-functional, decorative only) adds historic charm.

We provide basic pantry staples: olive oil, salt, pepper, vinegar, tea, and coffee.

Living & Dining
A generous open-plan living and dining area with a reclaimed timber dining table, leather lounge suite, wood-burning fireplace, and large flat-screen TV with access to your own streaming subscriptions. Two sets of French doors open onto the gardens and terraces.

Gardens & Outdoor Areas
Enjoy two private terraces — one with a large dining table for alfresco meals and the other with comfortable lounge seating under the shade of a tree. A gas BBQ is provided for your use.

Important Information
Winton Cottage comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests across the three queen bedrooms, daybed, and studio apartment. The house has indoor seating and outdoor seating for up to 8 guests.

For smaller groups we allocate bedrooms and prepare beds according to your needs. After booking we will contact you to confirm exact bedding requirements.

Base rate includes 2 guests per queen bedroom. Extra beds incur a one-off $25 laundry fee (waived for bookings of 5 guests or more).

Infants under 2 stay free (please bring your own portable cot).

Maximum occupancy is strictly 10 people.

During cooler months we offer a 20kg pack of firewood for $25 for the living room fireplace. An unopened pack is left at the property — let us know if you’d like to use it and we’ll arrange payment. Extra firewood is available from the local IGA.

In addition to central heating and cooling Winton Cottage also has electric blankets for added comfort.
