First of all, make sure you understand this is a cabin experience. As shown on the listing, the rooms are small, as is the kitchen. There are no closets and only one usable dresser. One bathroom is very small and cramped. I would hesitate if we had a larger group. That being said, the cabin was very clean and welcoming. The attention to detail was obvious. It is beautifully situated right on Lake Hubert, and we enjoyed a glass of wine on the dock while watching the sunsets. The weather was on the cool side, and it rained a couple days, so we didn't take advantage of the kayaks. For us, the biggest positive was that the Paul Bunyan Trail runs directly behind the cabin. We did the northern part of the trail last September, and it was our goal to complete it on this trip. We biked the Pine River to Hackensack section on our way there, and once we arrived, we didn't need to put our bikes on the rack again. We were able to do out and backs to the north and south, and completed the trail. A couple rainy days allowed us to do a little shopping in Nisswa, and catch up on our reading. Nisswa is just over 2 miles on the trail by bike, so that was nice.Overall, we greatly enjoyed our stay at the cabin on the lake. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, except for larger groups or families.
