Nestled in a private setting close to Cherokee, Bryson City, and Dillsboro, Bear Hugs Cabin is a charming 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom retreat perfect for family vacations or romantic escapes. The cheerful, rustic interior features a fully stocked kitchen and two bedrooms with blackout blinds, including a primary king suite with a soaking tub and walk-in shower, alongside a queen bedroom with a private full bath and scenic vistas. Outside, a fully covered porch and private hot tub offer panoramic views of the Great Smoky Mountains. Complete with an in-unit washer and dryer and provided linens, Bear Hugs Cabin delivers pure mountain magic just minutes from local dining, shopping, and outdoor adventure.

Location: Whittier- minimum of front wheel drive required.
o 15 minutes to Bryson City
o 15 minutes to Cherokee’s Harrah Casino
o 15 minutes to Great Smoky Mountain Railroad
o 35 minutes to Nantahala Outdoor Center
o 1 hour 30 minutes from Gatlinburg
o 1 hour 30 minutes from Asheville

Amenities Provided: Cabins include basic linens, kitchenware, and a starter supply of paper products and toiletries. Guests are responsible for additional supplies.

o Minimum Age: Minimum age to rent is 25
o Pet Policy: This cabin is not pet-friendly. Undisclosed or unauthorized pets are subject to a $300 fee, per pet.
o Wi-Fi: This cabin includes Wi-Fi for your convenience. Please keep in mind that mountain weather can occasionally cause brief service interruptions. Wi-Fi is always available at our office and throughout downtown.
o Concierge Services: Grocery delivery, celebration packages, early check in/late check out. Additional fees apply. Based on availability and cleaning schedule.

My husband and I visited for a short getaway weekend. This house was perfect! It was beautiful, clean, well-stocked, and cozy. The view was absolutely stunning. We enjoyed drinking our morning coffee on the front porch, watching the sunrise, and listening to the birds chirp. Downtown was close by and adorable!! So many cute little shops and the river runs through town. We even saw live Elk. We can't wait to visit again!!

Great Stay

Property was great! Seemed like it was brand new and had everything one might need! The property management company was great to work with as well and answered promptly as well as checking in on how the stay was going. I would highly recommend this home to anyone wishing to have a getaway!

A very refreshing get away!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our third year staying with Yellow Rose Realty, but this was our first stay at Bear Hugs. Yellow Rose folks are wonderful town home folks who are all about customer service. During last year’s visit they were kind enough to let us preview Bear Hugs and we fell in love with it.My wife and sister in law come up for the annual “Singing in the Smokies” gospel concert and preaching during the July 4th week for a God honoring, spiritually uplifting time for us. So this beautiful one level, roomy 2 bed, two full bath split design fit our need perfectly and the mountain view from the large front porch is so relaxing. We had the added blessing of sitting on the porch during an afternoon rain storm which was awesome, a hammock to lay in was the only thing missing.This is newer rental with lots of beautiful wood finishing, very well maintained, and super clean. If you need a very relaxing place to reflect on all the blessings God in his grace and mercy has given you, this is the place! There are 4 eating places we would highly recommend: Granny’s Kitchen In Cherokee, Rancho Viejo Cherokee, Wize Guyz Pizza Cherokee, and Haywood Smokehouse in Waynesviile. Also a tour of downtown Bryson City and all of its shops is a MUST.

Peaceful Getaway

The host was extremely nice and helpful. We ended up getting stuck not too far from the place, due the rain and mud (and my husband’s backing up skills 😉). We called them right before the office was going to close and they sent someone right over to help us. Between the amazing rental and the gracious host, I’d definitely love to stay here again!

Mountain Getaway

The cabin is new and it is absolutely beautiful. Love the barn doors within the cabin and amazing ceilings of white pine. It was trimmed out with white pine around the windows and doors and it really had the flavor of a mountain retreat. Also, one of the most thoughtful things was lots of night lights provided to make it easy for getting up in the middle of the night. There were lots of lights, the multiple light switches were labeled, which made it easy to turn on the appropriate light. Love the porch with the rockers, and it was peaceful and thoroughly enjoyed sitting out there and relaxing. The hot tub was a very nice added bonus and we enjoyed it a couple of evenings during our stay. The string lights gave it great ambience. The cabin is very close to Bryson city where we spent a lot of time. We caught the great Smoky Mountain train ride, which was the main purpose of our visit. Also Bryson city had awesome restaurants. We tried the Wise Guys Grill wonderful, we had great pizza at Anthony’s, the Mexican restaurant was delicious as well as Native Brews & Grill. I cannot say enough great things about the cabin.I certainly plan to return there for another visit. The rental company Yellow Rose was very responsive and quick to answer all my questions. My experience was awesome!

I called ahead of time to see if it was available for an additional day and it was! Very peaceful setting, quite neighborhood, beautiful inside and out. After the storm passed, the rental agency called to see if we made it okay and if everything was working. Very nice of them to make that call. I will definitely be renting from Yellow Rose again. Such a professional and great experience. The property was awesome and so were the employees that I spoke with. Unmatched from an Airbnb!
