This house was very charming! Great views of the river. The whole home was very warm and welcoming. Kitchen was fully equipped, beds were very comfortable and the house spotless. We had a great time exploring the area with plenty of good food. Great area outside to sit at the firepit in the evening. Will definitely stay here again!!!

We had an incredible stay with our family! The house was equipped with all of the essentials and was more than cozy. The views of the river were available at every turn in the house and our souls were fed with lots of nature and relaxation. I would recommend this place to everyone and hope we find ourselves here again, some day.

Had an excellent time the house was wonderful. Comfortable beds, stocked kitchen which was piratically nice . Too often the kitchen is barley equipped. Loved being able to paddle the river and pull up to the house.

Relaxing retreat

Very nice accommodations! The beds were comfortable, bathrooms were very nicely updated. The location and view was excellent. The highlight for us was sitting on the screened in porch enjoying morning coffee watching the alligators and otters in the river below.

Nice property. Further from Rainbow river by tube, canoe or kyak than thought. Outside of property could use some work. Especially the dock. Some areas of the dock are dangerous. Overall nice property. Property manager responsive.

The house looked exactly like the photos! It fits 8 people comfortably. We enjoyed spending our evenings on the screened porch overlooking the river. The best bonus of this place was that the host provides kayaks and paddles for your group to use! We didnā€™t even need to go to the state park because we were able to launch from the house and kayak to the springs. Would definitely stay here again!

We were very pleased with the accommodations. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need and beyond. Charming mix of modern and traditional furniture. My only concern is the deck closest to the water. One member of our group has been in construction and was surprised to see plywood used for the decking. It did not feel stable at all.

Kayaking trip with friends

We had nine adults staying for a week of kayaking at the nearby springs. Plenty of space for meals and game time at night. Living areas very adequate for this size group and home well equipped and very clean. Location very convenient to everything we needed and in walking distance to art gallery, garden and antique shops and restaurants. Great home!

Dunnellon Dream Home

A beautiful spacious house on a clear river. We fished and swam in the river just a few steps out of the back door. We also went to a few springs nearby. Next time we will have to stay longer so we can enjoy more of the surrounding springs in the area.

Older home on beautiful lot, lots of charm and space. Great kitchen to cook in. Two bedrooms were small but workable with plenty of space nearby if needed. The half bath has a low ceiling. Wonderful screened porch and views. Totally enjoyed our stay.

We were so impressed. The house was either newly renovated or kept in immaculate condition. The beds were surprisingly comfortable and every comfort was made available. I would recommend this property to anyone.

Nice River Home

The home is a spacious, rambling old place that features the fun surprise of a room designed as a bar. The upper deck of the dock looked questionably stable and provided no shade, but we swam and kayaked from the lower dock. We did not see kayaks listed as available and never received an answer about them, so we brought our own, but 3 were on property. I have never used a wood burning grill and was unable to start the one there, despite buying wood pellets and reading instructions, so that was disappointing. Overall, nice location, fun house.

Amazing House on the River

We loved everything about this house. It was very clean and tidy, had the cutest decorations, and supplied anything you could possibly need. Hendrik was super helpful and responsive. We will definitely be back! Although we went for a girls trip, Iā€™d love to bring my family here soon. There were even multiple restaurants close by that we could walk to. We HIGHLY recommend this beautiful home!!!

This house was GORGEOUS. Our party had plans to go to the springs close by but fell in love with the house and location so much that we decided to stay in. We went to a few antique stores very close by and met really nice people and were able to relax. We are very excited to book again! Thank you!!!

Friend weekend

This was a perfect location for our girls paddle weekend!!! Itā€™s a quick launch to either Rainbow River or the Withlacoochee and we enjoyed both over several days. The house was comfy and quirky like most river rentals. My only negative was the 2nd downstairs ā€œbedroomā€ was very uncomfortable for the friend that ended up staying in that one. There was almost no air, with very low ceiling and just a basement feel. As an all adult group of women, that was sort of a bummer. The 2nd king room downstairs was gorgeous with all new furniture, full views of the river and a stark contrast the the other space. Great spot to pop out for food or shopping and perfect if youā€™re planning to be on the water.

Great property

Our family with 2 teenage boys had a great week. The house is charming, plenty of room with ample furniture and amenities, clean and well maintained. There are lots of places to enjoy the view of the river including the master bedroom, the family room (which includes a desk in the windowed corner for those of us who have to keep up with work), sun room, porch swing, picnic table, chairs around the fire pit. Kayaks/lifejackets available for use on the river. Lots of things available that aren't necessarily standard in rentals including kitchen spices/aluminum foil/etc, first aid kit, sunblock. Our goal was just to get away and spend time together playing board games, reading, watching movies, and this property met our needs perfectly!

Riverview House

We rented this house to relax after a busy traveling work week and the hustle of the holidays. Needless to say it wasn't what we expected. We had issues with unlocking the keyless entry due to the batteries were dead. Then, our 1st night we froze because half the heat was out and inside the house was 54 degrees. The next morning we reached out to the property manager and he did call someone out to look at the issue. Well, after a long day of kayaking we got back to the house exhausted and wanted to chill before dinner. The property manager left as soon as we got there stating he didn't need to be there anymore and left us for hours with the tech. 4 hours later the tech is still there and we're just waiting for the tech to leave or the property manager to come back as it was not our responsibility to stay with this guy. We rented this house to not have to worry about anything. Eventually we called the property manager to see if he was coming back so we can go to dinner. He didn't answer and we had to call multiple times until he finally picked up just to tell us to leave the guy in the house that "he trusted" the company. I wasn't happy about this one bit. However, starvation took over and we needed food. So we left. We received a text while at dinner that the tech wasnt able to fix the heat that weekend and would return on Monday after we leave..I understand issues happen but the property manager didn't offer to supply heaters or anything. Overall experience not good.

The location of the house was great and we were looking forward to a nice, quiet weekend to recoup from a lot of traveling we've been doing for work and the holiday's. Our first day started off with no issues but by Friday that changed. Half the house had no heat. We contacted the person who was our contact for any issues that arise. He immediately got ahold of an a/c-heat repair man to come to the house that day. Which was awesome. However, we just got back from kayaking and was ready to relax when our contact person stated their was no reason for him to hang around while the repair man went inside and outside the house...for hours! My husband and I sat their with this repair man when all we wanted to do was relax and go to dinner. About 4 hours later we are still sitting there. We call our contact person who stated that we can just leave this random person in the house with all of our belongings laying about. I wasn't happy, but was starving and ready for dinner. So we left since it wasn't our responsibility to sit at the house we rented. About an hour into dinner I received the text that the repair guy wasn't able to fix the heat unit and wasn't able to come back until Monday. Mind you this was Friday evening and it was a cold weekend in Florida and most of the house was freezing except the dining room, kitchen and 1 bedroom upstairs which is where we ended up sleeping just so we didn't freeze to death. No one offered to get us space heaters or make other accommodations to make sure we were comfortably. We had to make a trip to the local Walmart and buy a heated blanket and space heater. The bathrooms were freezing. I feel like this situation could have been handled better by the contact person whom seemed to not care one way or another. Other than that issue the house was clean and very roomy. It would have been nice to enjoy the whole house and not just a room.

Very nice house with unique layout

We three cousins spent two weeks in very clean house right along the Withlacoochee river. The living room was spacious and had comfortable seating; one loveseat, one recliner, and a sofa with recliners at either end. Screened porch overlooking the river. The dock was in good repair and had one kayak and a SUP. Bedroom one, with a king bed, was comfortable and generously sized. Bedroom two, on the main floor, was much smaller and lacked adequate lighting, but the bed was comfortable. Downstairs, the master bedroom was extremely nice and also had a walk-in closet and access to the laundry room. Also downstairs, bedroom four wasn't used as there were only three of us. This bedroom was deemed least desirable due to the low ceiling height in the bedroom and the extremely low ceiling in the attached half bath. At 5' 11", my head hit the ceiling when I stood up. Someone shorter probably wouldn't mind that. Our property rep, Hendrik, responded quickly when we experienced an HVAC issue and communicated appropriately. We enjoyed our time here and would be happy to stay again.
