In fact, at the time of departure, the guest indicated that they had enjoyed their stay, so we were surprised to later learn that the overall experience had not met expectations. We’re pleased to hear this property provided an overall pleasant stay! We also appreciate the opportunity to clarify a few points for future guests. The game room is intended to provide additional entertainment during a stay, and we understand that the condition and functionality of the dartboard and shuffleboard are important when those amenities are a factor in choosing the property. We are reviewing the game room equipment to ensure it continues to provide the experience guests expect. The property also has a backup lockbox specifically so guests have an alternative means of access should the smart lock experience an issue. While we always work to address maintenance concerns as quickly as possible, the response time and type of technician needed can vary depending on the nature of the issue. A handyman who is servicing a keypad is very different from a licensed plumber or other qualified professional who would be dispatched for a water-heater failure or other urgent maintenance situation. For future guests, we want to emphasize that an isolated issue with a smart lock should not be taken as an indication of how an emergency maintenance situation would be handled. Urgent issues are prioritized accordingly, with the appropriate trade or service provider contacted based on the nature and severity of the problem. We remain committed to providing a comfortable stay, maintaining the property and its amenities, and responding appropriately when maintenance needs arise.
