The Menorcan Farmhouse is the ultimate holiday get-away for large families & for those searching for complete privacy and tranquillity on the peaceful island of Menorca. The farmhouse is of traditional rural architecture with a central front porch area with three arches and a large terrace surrounding the house with amazing countryside views. The pool sits gracefully behind the house with a large pergola providing shade and with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The property has 7 large bedrooms (including one apartment annexe), 6 bathrooms, 3 kitchens an several living room areas with cinema screen and projector. Guests have access to 12 mountain bikes, sea kayaks, and sports equipment. The house is fully immersed in a 500 acre private estate with fields and forests and has direct access to a large private rocky beach ideal for private swims and exploring the beautiful North Coast of Menorca (the amazing Cala Pilar and Algaiarens). It is also near to several beautiful sandy beaches (12 minutes drive) that are ideal for children. The terrace that surrounds the house has wonderful views of the countryside & is ideal for outdoor family meals. The property is located 30 minutes drive from the harbour town of Cuitadella on the north coast of Menorca. Ciutadella is a beautiful historic town with a good selection of restaurants & boutique shops as well as hosting weekly food markets in the main square.


The property is a unique farmhouse with 500 acres of private Mediterranean land with forests and fields reaching down to a very private rocky beach. In 10 minutes you can also drive to the sandy beaches of Algereins which are great for kids as they have shallow blue waters and fine sand. The farm is a great base for walking, mountain biking and horse riding. With the rental you also get some sea kayaks which allow you to explore the coast peacefully.

Ciutadella: The local harbour town of Ciutadella is only 30 minutes drive which has some wonderful restaurants and small boutique shops. The town also has weekly food markets selling the freshest Mediterranean food possible. In the town you can also hire boats and sign up for daily diving expeditions.

The rental rate includes daily cleaning and housekeeping service as well as help in the kitchen.

The Balearic Government introduced an Eco-Tax in 2006, which needs to paid by all visitors at a a rate of €2.00 per adult per night. In the low season, it is €1.00 per adult per night.

Family holiday

This was the perfect house for our family holiday. Very peaceful location, very well equipped and space for everyone . Completely safe for the ( four under 7 ) grandchildren who loved the pool and the garden and the beaches. Antonia cooked us some delicious meals and looked after us beautifully.

Serene spot in the middle of Spanish countryside

Very peaceful stay with wonderful, ranging views. Made for a perfect breather for family and friends. Everything as listed- bedrooms sizeable, living space very good for hosting suppers etc. Would recommend to any prospective customer.

Beautiful house in the countryside

The house is located with stunning views over the surrounding forests and farms. It is completely private with the next house probably a KM away. It takes about 25 minutes to get there from the City and 10 minutes to the beach. The house itself has a brilliant layout and everything is really tastefully done. Each bedroom is really comfortable and nearly all have patio areas outside them. This means that even if you a large group you can each have your own space. The communal areas are also fantastic, there are two lounge areas (one with cinema screen) and inside and outside dining. The pool area is separate from the house and is gated with a padlock. Again, it’s a well sized classy pool with lots of loungers and a shaded area. It overlooks the surrounding countryside and benefits from a light breeze. You are welcomed at the house by Antonia who is a lovely lady. Antonia is an excellent cook and can prepare lunches and evening meals with a days notice. This was really helpful for us as a family as it meant we didn’t need to drive to eat out all of the time. The house is very well managed by the owner Vadim who is helpful and communicative. We spent most mornings at the local beaches which are beautiful or driving a bit further a field if we wanted a change. In the afternoon we spent time by the pool which the kids loved. Overall the holiday was excellent, the house is great, and having Antonia to help out made the whole experience really special. We will be back.

Solitude at it’s finest

There were a group of six ladies on our trip. All of us cannot say enough about how outstanding our visit was on the farm. Not only was it gorgeous for our eyes to see, Antonia cooked for us and made our stomach smile too. We LOVED every bit!

Amazing experience

We spent approximately 2 weeks at this wonderful estate with our extended family. our group included 2 grandparents and two families with children ages 7-12. The house and grounds were beautiful, and the pool amazing. The gardens provided a beautiful backdrop for my husband and I to celebrate our wedding. Antonia prepared delicious meals for us and our guests. The scenery was idyllic - we hiked through country paths by cows and sheeps to the rocky beach, we went kayaking and mountain biking, dined al fresca and enjoyed drinks by the pool. The house is off the beaten track - approximately 15-20 minutes down a private country road. So be prepared for hiking and driving to beaches and Ciutadella and peaceful lazy afternoons. Vadim and Antonia were very helpful in giving recommendations of where to go, where to shop for groceries, restaurant recommendations etc. We can strongly recommend this property and hope to return in the future.

Heaven

Travel down a long, bumpy road, past gates and cows, you arrive at a slice of heaven. Menorca is raw physical beauty and this estate showcases it to perfection. There's nothing wrong with this place, even though it is remote. An outstanding property, with a wonderful chef and immaculate conditions. Everything was so easy, so relaxing, and so beautiful.

Wonderful large Family Nature Farmhouse Holiday

We were a large group of family and friends, grand-parents and children and the property exceeded all our expectations. It is set in the most incredible mediterranean nature, in a fully private estate that was overwhelming for us coming from the city! It is also a short drive to some beautiful sandy beaches and private coves. So, so beautiful, the pictures cannot fully show the real feel of the place. The property is perfectly maintained, clean and incredibly well-stocked with all you may need for your perfect holidays. Antonia looked after us so well and her cooking is very delicious indeed. We appreciated her extra help with the children and wonderful desserts! The farmhouse has great rural paths leading down to the sea. This is great for running, hiking and mountain biking. We were provided with some great mountain bikes and kayaks. We were all very active during our week. We would recommend this property to all families, lovers of nature and lovers of the sea. Thank you so much for everything. We will be back soon!

A wonderful place to forget about the "real world".

This is a truly wonderful house in one of the most picturesque spots I have ever stayed in. The house is beautifully appointed with all the modern luxuries (TVs and sound systems in every room, amazing coffee machine, wifi etc.) you would hope for while retaining a strong sense of rural character. Even the art around the house encourages you to stop and look at it rather than just walking by. Vadim (the owner) and Antonia (housekeeper) are always available to help with anything you may need. Antonia comes in daily to make the beds and give the house a clean making this a halfway house between a house rental and a hotel! It's a perfect place for kids; the pool has a gate so the children's can't get to it unless you want them to and being so remote they could run around the grounds without having to worry about them. I would strongly recommend this pace for a family holiday. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful house for a perfect holiday

Everything about Alfurinet exceeded our expectations... The house is located in beautiful countryside, a short drive from Ciudadela and wonderful Calas. The rooms are really lovely: white, spacious and very stylish and although it is very large the whole house feels extremely cosy. Antonia welcomed us with freshly picked apricots and a delicious dinner and she and Vadim were always very attentive. We cant think of a better place to stay.

Family holiday in Villa Alfurinet

We were a party of 8 with an age range of 19 to 65 !! The villa and surrounding 500 acre estate is simple magnificent in every way and the privacy is second to none. This house has all the integrity and beauty one would expect from someone's home that they love. The villa is amazingly well equipped, top quality appliances, great coffee machine and even sharp knives. The setting in folds of Minorcan rolling countryside is stunning. Antonia the housekeeper appeared every day and also cooked us a few delicious evening meals. We made use of the mountain bikes to explore the stunning coast, an ideal way to have fun and get fit! Communication with the owner was excellent - all in all we all gave it % STARS.

Wonderful house, wonderful vacation!

If you're looking for a beautiful place for a group of friends/family in the middle of the Minorcan countryside this is the place! We were a group of 8 adults and 6 kids and everyone was taken away by the beauty of the house and surroundings. There was plenty of space for everyone and several of our friends are already planning a 2nd stay. The house is appointed very nicely and there wasn't anything we could think off that was missing. We asked Antonia to cook a couple of dishes and bake two cakes for us and everything was delicious! The prices for the food were very reasonable. We're already looking forward to our next stay!

Magical vacation in menorca

Alfurinet is a wonderful, welcoming, unique place... It is surrounded by beautiful farmlands, tucked away with beautiful views. The house is very cozy, well thought out with elegant taste, it has everything you might need, and even more. In just a few minutes you feel quite at home. You can enjoy fresh produce from the incredible vegetable garden everyday: tomatoes, melons, eggplant... There are activities for everybody: swimming pool, bicycles, kayaks, home theater,ping pong... and of course: Mediterranean beaches. Everything is well organized and maintained. The caretakers make sure that you have a great stay. We highly highly recommend Alfurinet to anybody who is interested in enjoying the menorcan farmland and beaches, and really looking to get away.

Absolutely beautiful property

We just loved this villa! We are three families who holiday together a lot and this has definitely been the best we have stayed in. The rooms were huge, spacious and very comfortable. The interior was beautiful and the house was so well stocked with everything a family could need from kids toys, beach accessories, bikes kayaks, outdoor table tennis, the list is endless... Antonia is a fantastic housekeeper and lovely lady who kept the house immaculately clean and was so helpful and welcoming, nothing was ever a problem. She cooked meals for us on numerous occasions which were both delicious and very good value. The swimming pool was beautiful and the kids just loved playing in it and adults enjoyed the beautiful loungers over looking the beautiful countryside around it. The pool has a gate down to it so this is reassuring if you have young children. Vadim was very helpful and efficient, providing all the necessary information we required regarding the property, we definitely want to return! Many thanks for an amazing holiday!

Fantastic property and location

It's always difficult to please everyone with a party of 9 adults and 2 young children - 4 generations of our family ranging from age 79 to just 2. This villa over-delivered in every respect. Stunning location, beautifully maintained and so well equipped we lacked for nothing: it was truly a home from home. If anything, the listings for this property under sell it. Antonia, the housekeeper, came for a few hours every day to freshen up the rooms, and was always more than helpful. Unfortunately none of our party speak Spanish so we had to communicate predominantly via a translation app on our iPad, but we got along famously. Antonia cooked for us for 5 of our 14 nights - fantastic meals, really wholesome food and really good value for money. She effortlessly catered for a vegetarian and a gluten-free diet. The pool was lovely, immaculately maintained, and just far enough away from the house, with a gate, to make it ideal with young children. I cannot recommend this villa highly enough.

wonderfull !

We are three families who have holidayed together in Menorca before. The farmhouse more than exceeded our expectations. The facilities are excellent and the house itself absolute luxury. We had very rare bad weather during our stay but it did not matter, we were able to cycle to the beach, and take lazy walks to the spectacular private beach. The children were in there element and able to roam free collecting watermelons from the gardens for breakfast. Antonia cooked for us on several occasions , the food was excellent and extremely economical, the house was kept spotless. We hope to return next year and have already recommended the farmhouse to several ! lisa

PERFECT, WONDERFUL,PEACEFUL,....

This propiety is our family holiday place. Each year we rent a house to spend a vacation week all the family, grandchildren, daughters, sons and grandparents. Having spent several houses in the Balearic Islands this farmahouse is undoubtedly the best. The owner hospitality , the facilities that he offers in terms of service, arrival etc... are unbeatable, magnificent clean, well-maintained ... It is a perfect place in the middle of nature, near to the beach ideal for many tipologies of rental people. For families with children and babies because is near to the beach, big rooms for the cottage, share rooms..... For families who want to share together days there’re different kitchens and a mini apartment isolated, for families with young because they have bikes, kayacs, home cinema, ipod’s, communication on the internet, ... ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!!! Thanks for all Vadim, we come back !!!

An outstanding place

Looking for a house to rent for 12 people for a week in Spring 2010, I have been visiting in January many large houses in Menorca. No one can compete against this one. Its is outstanding inside and outside. Top quality, large bedrooms, beautiful terraces around the house, splendid kitchen where we spent all a lot of time : Markets in Cuitadella have fishes, vegetables and fruits at reasonable prices ! We enjoyed biking and swimming. Peaceful, perfect.

A wonderful property in a magical environment

This is our second stay in Alfurinet farmhouse and what a great time we had. The house is set in the most beautiful countryside with views of soft rolling hills and far-reaching fields with grazing cows and horses. The rooms all have lovely old wooden poster-beds and the whole house is superbly equipped containing some great artwork. We had fun riding the bikes and sea kayaking....it was great to have a private beach to wander on. We were also very close to some other great sandy beaches and the quaint town of Ciutadella. We would thoroughly recommend this high-quality property and would urge you to try the cook's food, Antonia is a wonderful chef!! We will be back next year.Thanks.
