Just returned from a two family holiday staying in this quite exceptional property, it his hard to praise the location and accommodation too highly, everything we wanted and more. Quality property in an exceptional location, restaurants, golf course, bars and beach with ferry to Padstow on the doorstep.

Christmas in Rock

An amazing time for all generations. 4 families shared the amazing refurbished Georgian terraced house for Christmas. There was room for everyone to please themselves and also to share some great family meals around the large kitchen table. The hightlights were the ever changing view of Camel Estuary; surfing on Christmas eve in Santa hats and dune jumping on Christmas day. Boxing day was spent with a ferry trip to Padstow, great boutiques for retail therapy and to top everything an amazing atmosphere due to Cornish traditional carnival. Great local pubs within walking distance of the house. Thank you Valerie for sharing your home. The house offered everything we could have possibly hoped for. We'll be back!

Wonderful property - we loved it!

We stayed at this stunning house for a week in February. The house itself is beautiful. The layout is perfect for a large family, or families sharing, as there are many levels with room to have your own space and to come together to eat. The open plan living room/dining room/kitchen is absolutely gorgeous and airy, with access to an outside terrace, and stunning views over the estuary. The sleeping accommodation is really flexible with plenty of sleeper sofas and guest beds, if needed. All the bedrooms have their own bathroom/loo. The terrace room on the top floor is amazing and has the most wonderful views. It has a sitting area and a TV/DVD player, so was a firm favourite with the children. The bedrooms were lovely, with comfortable bedding, and the master room at the front of the house had views over the estuary. There was enough parking for 3 cars in the front. The ferry to Padstow is about a 3 minute walk from the house. There is a pub two doors away and more bars/restaurants next to the ferry. The small deli, supermarket, and fish and chip shop is about 3 minutes by car, or walkable if you're feeling energetic. The house owner is absolutely lovely and couldn't do enough for us. She was flexible with changeover day, made sure the heating was on for us prior to arrival, left us fabulous treats in the form of local cider and luxurious, complimentary bath products from a local company (St.Kitts Herbery - you'll be hooked once you try them!), and she kept in touch by email to ensure we had everything we needed. The photos of the house don't do it full justice - it's even better than it looks. The general consensus of my family is that it's the best house we've stayed at in Cornwall. We all loved it and hope to stay again next year.

A fantastic holiday house, brilliant location, immaculately clean, well equipped. A gem of a find!

The information sent before our stay was very good & gave us all the information we needed. The house is beautifully decorated, really well equipped and there was lots of room for our party of 11. The sun terrace at the top of the house gives you stunning views across the estuary and garden is private, great space for drinks & to watch the sun going down. The location is fantastic, minutes walk to the glorious sandy beaches & ferry to Padstow. The Mariners Pub is just next door (& is well worth a visit - or 2). The local bakery, butchers & other shops are all close by too. Every request and question we asked was answered really quickly & the team were really helpful. We had a brilliant long awaited holiday & loved staying at this glorious house.

The perfect property

I’m so glad we rented this property for our family holiday. The property could not be better positioned for a beach side break. The house is beautifully decorated and really well equipped. It also has the most incredible views across the estuary. Communications from the owners was fantastic and we’d very much like to return for another holiday there one day. Highly recommend!

Beautiful House in a Great Location

The house is simply wonderful, the pictures online do not do it justice. The views across the estuary are stunning, even from all the way back in the kitchen. There were twelve of us, and we all had plenty of space and were very comfortable, even though we weren't there for a good weather week. We cooked dinners every night, the dining table is perfect for a big sociable group, there is plenty of fridge space and the kitchen is really well appointed. The owner was very responsive, and even before we arrived, had given us tips about arriving, settling in, and the location generally, along with leaving us a really nice gift of local cider and toiletries. I would highly recommend this property and will definitely return.

Lovely house to stay in with big family

Loved the house. The living space was amazing and plenty of bedroom space for a large extended family to all stay. A bit disappointed I didn't see enough of the stunning top floor balcony!! Great service from the owners.

Outstanding

We loved the house just as it was described. It was perfect for us (in total 9 people). Amazing location and view. Very clean and everyone felt at home the minute we have arrived. Just in walking distance to the ferry to Padstow or the local bars or restaurants. Excellent customer service by the owner. Would definitely recommend to a friend. Thank you again for everything!

weekend away for a 50 th birthday

We had the most fantastic weekend in this beautiful house .it had everything you could need for a great holiday .there were 13 of us and we never felt we were on top of each other, there was so much space . The house is absolutely stunning ! We will be returning!.

Beautiful house in Rock

The property is beautiful, a real homely feel. It had everything we needed for 12, spacious, modern, clean and all kitchen equipment needed. Lovely decking area off the kitchen where we ate our breakfast in the sun taking in the stunning views. Just across the road is s lovely little garden again with gorgeous views. I would highly recommend this house.

The most beautiful house in a stunning setting

Fabulous house and location

We had a wonderful stay over New Year in 1 The Terrace. Very impressed with the quality of the house, amazing space, we could happily fit out party of 8 adults and 8 children (under 6). Location is superb, few minutes to the beach with the most wonderful views. We will definitely be back.

Fabulous location, Stunning house

WOW! The house is just perfect for friends or family to gather, young and old. Location is stunning, restaurants, fishing, beach, pubs, walks even now in the garden. Valerie is so helpful and quickly responds to enquiries attention to detail is great and I would not hesitate to recommend this to all my nearest and dearest. I hope we will one day return. Welcome treats from St Kitts and beers too on the table! Just Perfeck!!

Excellent property in a great location!

Fantastic accommodation, very well thought out for large parties. Stunning views from the property overlooking the estuary. Easy access to Padstow. Great location itself in Rock and very close to the Mariners pub who do great food and drink. Don't think twice about staying here, it's a real treat. Thank you.

Everything from dealing with the owner to staying at the house and its facilities and cleanliness is 5*. You will be hard pushed to stay anywhere as nice as this. Fingers crossed we will be lucky enough to stay again in the future!

Perfect

A first class property in a wonderful location. The house is immaculate and has everything you could need. Rock itself has shops, cafes and good pubs and restaurants. The beach and sandunes are 3-4 mins walk away.

Stunning, Spacious & Comfortable Holiday Home

We booked this property on a recommendation from a family member, we are so glad that we did as it is an absolutely amazing holiday stay. Three main plus points: 1. The house itself is jaw-droopingly beautiful. Large open plan living spaces, numerous en suites and family bath, flat screen tv, water-side garden, balcony and every modern amenity. Not to mention impressive bedrooms with views to die for! The owners have thought of everything for you. 2. Location...the house is a short stroll from the ferry/water taxi to busy Padstow and near enough for access to Rock beaches and walks. Three very good restaurants within walking distance, and a short drive up the hill in to Rock further for boutique shops small supermarket and deli. 3. The owners...Valerie has been easily contactable and very accommodating of our every need, thank you so much. We loved our stay here and would definitely recommend it.

beautiful house with amazing views

Just returned from a weeks holiday in this amazing house,the house is fantastic with every thought put into the layout to cater for a large family and all that includes! the decor is lovely very clean and modern with very comfortable beds!! the kitchen has everything needed, we had aan amazing time and none of us wanted to leave.... we would love to return!!

A beautiful house in a stunning location.

We have recently returned from a fantastic week in this luxurious home. There were 12 in our party including 5 children aged between 12 months and 13 years. The house never felt too small and the facilities catered for all age groups. The views from the property are absolutely breathtaking and it's location can not be beaten. Valerie was always helpful and was on hand to answer any questions. We will definitely be back!

Stunning house, wonderful holiday

We returned this year, for the second time, to Valerie's beautiful house in Rock. Once again we were blown away by the amazing location and the stunning views. The house is very well equipped and comfortable. Thanks you for another great holiday. We'll be back again next year!

Wonderful property, wonderful location in Rock.

We have just returned from a week's stay in this superbly appointed property in Rock (our second stay in Rock but we have been coming to the area for many years). The property has been renovated to a high standard with care and attention to detail - convenient modern fixtures and fittings sitting alongside original features , combining to offer an outstanding holiday rental for large groups. Oh, and did I mention the view that awaits from all floors? Not least the balcony situated on the top floor, offering panoramic views from the beautiful hillsides across the water to Padstow. Sit back, open a bottle and enjoy.

Stunning location in Rock

We all absolutely loved this house, a family get together for half term and grandad's 75th birthday. The house is very well equipped with plenty of room for a party of 12, the views from the top balcony are stunning, perfect for a pre dinner drink overlooking the estuary towards Padstow. A bonus was the garden over the road, which initially we did not realise was part of the 'deal!' Valerie's recommendation for a venue for an adults night out at No 1 Rock restaurant, with pizza delivery for the young, was spot on. One evening there was live music at The Mariners, just up the road, which was very popular with the younger family members. A great house in a perfect location.

We only discovered Rock 5 years ago when we fell in love with the area and the activities it offers. As a family of 6 some of us will drive to Polzeath to surf, while others meet on the beach for a morning coffee after enjoying the coastal walk. The afternoons are spent sailing; the thrill seekers preferring to chill at the house or on the beach until the water is calm for an early evening ski or wakeboard. Evenings are usually spent enjoying a BBQ on the deck or walking to a bistro for dinner. The opportunity to buy and refurbish 1 The Terrace has mean't that we can enjoy all the area has to offer across the seasons, even surfing on Christmas Eve in Santa hats.
