Quiet and comfy, just how we like it

Our week-long stay was outstanding and just what we needed. Hosts were friendly and accommodating on all levels. Maddox the dog kept our kids company and we just loved our time here. Kids have already asked if we can go again next summer. If you like hussle and bussle, 5 star lodging and a starbucks on site, this isnt for you. If you want quiet and tranquility....this is the place. 5 stars all across the board thank you Rudy and Dorothy for one of the best trips our little family has ever taken. So glad we chose to stay in your little corner of paradise.

Peaceful and relaxing

We wanted a place to relax and this was definitely it. So quiet. The view of the lake was outstanding. We had everything we needed and slept great. Our hosts were friendly and conscientious. There are canoes, kayaks, pontoon boats for those that want to explore or fish. Beautiful waterfalls and hiking not too far away. Wonderful.

Nice quiet getaway

Rudy and Dorothy were very friendly and they communicated quickly. Place was spotless and smelled like laundry detergent :) I brought my black Lab Gordie and he loved the beach and grounds. We visited Canim Falls one day and 108 lake another. Something to keep in mind, there are no amenities like cooking oil, tin foil, salt and pepper things like that so bring those along with you :) Enjoyed our stay and have already referred this place to a friend and hope to return this summer or fall!

Stayed for 4 nights over Dec. 29-Jan. 2nd

We stayed over New Years. The property was stunning, the cabin was cozy and had everything that we needed. The hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating. We got engaged over our stay in the Caribou, so this will be a place to remember forever. We will definitely be returning.

Canim lake stay

This resort was very quiet and clean. Owners were amazing and friendly. Our grandsons had a great time swimming and fishing.

Cozy and quaint

We enjoyed our relaxing stay at the property- it was so quiet at night, no noise pollution. Just the sound of owls, loons and ducks. While some of the amenities listed on the ad weren't offered, we found our own ways to enjoy what was available, and our children made a new furry friend named Maddox. Overall, it was a great two nights there :).

Will definitely be back

Rudy and his wife, were very much accommodating. We showed up 2 hours early and they were more then happy to welcome us and bring us over to our beautiful cozy cabin. I came with my husband and our two daughters ages 10 and 2. They were great towards us and our girls. They allowed our daughter to play with their dog Maddox who our daughter fell in love with. We rented their boat for the day and had an amazing day out on the lake. The scenery is beautiful it’s so peaceful and relaxing. The sound of all the loons was beautiful. We also watched the otters playing. We swam in the lake out from the boat. It was a great time. The cabin itself was even better then I had pictured it. It said it was a stocked kitchen but we came prepared just in case but the kitchen was very much stocked with everything we needed. We can’t wait to Come back up. My youngest daughter keeps asking to go back to the cabin. Thank you guys so much for being so accommodating to myself and my family. Hope to see you again soon. :)

Charming Cabin Escape

Wonderful cozy little cabin on a beautiful location. Spent time reconnecting with family in the evenings with board and card games by the cozy glow from the fire place. If you need to have cell phones and devices while on vacation, you are missing the point. Our hosts were very kind and their amazing dog Maddox provided us plenty of canine company during campfires or just sitting on the deck with a coffee listening to the loons and ducks. We rented a pontoon boat to explore Canim Lake and let the kids catch some fish. Great trip to escape current events, keep in your family bubble, support BC business and above all relax. Bliss. Will return!

Expectations Met

We enjoyed our stay. The accommodations were clean and warm. Everything was in working order. Lake access was perfect. Loved the cozy patio. Affordable and convenient. Will visit again

Beautiful spot on Canim lake

We really enjoyed our stay. Highlights for us were the friendly staff, renting the pontoon boat for a day to explore Canim lake, the little playground, having a campfire, playing in the water, the pie at the local store, and how quiet the resort area was. We hope to come back sometime!

Excellent place for rest and relaxation .

This was our first time staying in Canim Lake and it was wonderful . Very quiet and Rudy and his wife were great. Lots to do from renting a boat to paddle boards to swimming off the dock . We had our own boat and were off exploring others lakes close by for summer fishing . The view on this property of Lake Canim is gorgeous . We had great weather during the day and even towards the end of the week when it rained at night , It was still cozy to sit on the deck of our cabin and enjoy a glass of wine. Mosquitos were surprising mild. Cabin was well stocked . If your looking to get away for a few days or a couple of weeks with no cell phone as there is no service , internet is available for a fee , then this is the place to be . We were happy not to have access to our devices . Lots of space to dock your boat for 12.00 a day. Campsites are available if you have a trailer and there is power hookups on all sites . I would suggest as most properties along the lake our on well water you bring your own drinking water as you will have to boil water before drinking it . Great place in all seasons . We can’t wait to go back .

Living on the lake gets never boring: there is eagles, ospreys, ducks, geese, otters, beavers, muskrats, deer, coyotes,

We enjoy hunting and fishing and spending time in the "Bush"

Slowly we are getting older and when somebody offers us the right amount, we will retire.
