Mindre än en mil till Adewehi Healing Center och god livsmedelsbutik. 3 miles till Columbus (restauranger, livsmedel, banker, etc.). 20 minuter till Lake Lure / Chimney Rock-området. 10 minuter till historiska Tryon eller Saluda. 25 minuter till Hendersonville. 40 minuter till The Biltmore och Asheville. Lovely Home-Great Stay

We had a great stay at this house! Everything was clean and well cared for. We really enjoyed the location as it was quiet. And, Gary lives next door and was very nice and easily accessible if we needed anything. Would definitely stay here again!

Tryon Equestrian Center visit

The cottage was charming and clean as could be. It is located very close to the Tryon Equestrian Center, which is where we visited for four days. Very convenient for us!! Everything went well!!

Another great stay!

This is our second time staying here for a horse show. This place is clean well stocked and has a wonderful location that is close to the show and to Columbus for groceries and restaurants. It is always at the top of my list when I’m booking a place to stay for a show.

BEST HORSE SHOW LODGING IN NC!!

I’ve stayed here twice with a group of friends while horse-showing at FENCE or TIEC. Excellent location, clean & safe! We’re already planning the next time we can stay here.

Family Trip to pick apples

Great stay and property

Great place to stay for a TIEC show weekend. We had 3 people and the small cottage was a good size for us. About 13 min easy drive to TIEC. Gary was super easy to deal with and gave good communication. Would stay here again.

Great getaway cottage

We visited for the music festival at TIEC. This was an excellent location. It was close to town, yet tucked away for peace and quiet. It was also very convenient to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. The owner was great to deal with. We will be back to try the nearby zip lining.

Great Cozy Cottage

Great place and great location especially for going back and forth to TIEC. Anything you could possibly need or want was in close proximity. My husband, daughter, son-in-law, grandson and myself enjoyed this cozy cottage for the weekend while our daughter was showing at TIEC. We would definitely book again!

Home away from home!

We stay in the Tryon area several times a year for horse shows & Gary’s cabin is now one of my favorites! Clean, comfortable, all essentials provided. Truly felt like coming home at the end of the long horse show days. Look forward to hopefully staying here again and again.

A Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer by trade, I enjoy fixing, building and improving things. Although I grew up in Ohio and traveled during my younger years, Columbus, NC is now home and has been for 20 years. I love the outdoors and this area has so much to offer.

Varför värden valde detta boende

We purchased this house for the second time because we love it so much. We live next door so it serves as a guest house and rental house when it's not being used as a showroom for my bed building business. I build custom solid wood bed frames as a sideline business and the beds at this property were all built by me. Both the queen bed and the laundry room table in the house were built from lumber cut out of the backyard on the property. Although it's a small cottage, it's full of character and big on charm! Come visit and you will know what we mean!

If you are wanting to book accommodations for a larger group in separate living areas, there is another larger house near this property that is available - "Fox Mountain Retreat" is listed on the "other guy's" website Let us know if we can assist with arranging a coordinated stay.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

This cottage features wood. Wood floors, old barn wood kitchen cabinets, old barn wood door trim and walls, and wood bed frames (hand built by the owner.) The kitchen table and benches are also "hand-made" as well as the several bedside nightstands, end tables and the "bartop" table/desk in the laundry room. To top it off, there's a wood burning stove to make you feel like you've stepped back in time (while watching your favorite movie on the HDTV!)
