These parks, as well as state parks, mountains, lakes, rivers, streams and waterfalls are just waiting for you to explore.

The Wasatch Mountains offer an abundance of exciting adventures Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall. There are 4 great Ski Resorts within 20 miles of our Mountain Retreat. Love seeing wildlife? Visit Antelope Island and see herds of Bison up close and personal. The vast beauty and fun of skiing, hiking, biking, kayaking or just site seeing in Ogden Valley, Park City, Big & Little Cottonwood Canyons, Sundance, Provo Canyon and more are waiting for you.

This spacious Mountain Retreat apartment is conveniently located in Sandy, Utah. Easy access to I15 and I215 means convenient access to anything you want to do. With a private patio, fully equipped kitchen and two full baths, this is the perfect getaway.

Awesome place for a ski vacation

Plenty of room to hang out and watch tv, very nice space, neighborhood is super nice and a great location for getting to snowbird, Brighton or solitude. Me and 3 friends stayed for a week and we all had a great time. Perfect getaway. Owner was also very responsive with any of my questions. 5 stars!!!

Great experience again

Great home base for skiing both Big and Little Cottonwood canyons. Close to everything and in a quiet neighborhood. We like cooking our meals and the kitchen had all we needed.

A home away from home

I teuly enjoyed my stay at this particular place. It was so comfortable with lazy boy chairs, a tv and a fireplace. The kitchen was spacious and the bed was so comfortable. Close to my son's home. Spacious!

Skiing Alta and the Bird

The apartment was perfect for the trip. There was nothing missing to make this a great ski vacation. 20 min to the slopes, perfect. It took us longer to find parking. I would stay there again if available on the next trip.

Great location

It was great for us. The kitchen was well stocked. The bed was comfortable with lots of pillows available. The location was fantastic. Grocery stores close by and the slopes on 25 minutes away.

Wonderful family reunion

Enjoyed visiting and skiing with my son who lives in Salt Lake. My oldest son and his fiancé also joined us for the week. Lovely place which was conveniently located for food, ski rentals, grocery and canyons for skiing.

Jen and David were absolutely great hosts. From helping me to correct my stay dates, to assisting me in allowing some packages to be sent to their home, they were great! The property was extremely nice, and I felt like I was truly at home on my business trip. There are tons of restaurants and other eateries nearby, and my absolute favorite was Libertango Steakhouse. It’s an Argentinian restaurant that is absolutely phenomenal. I can’t wait to visit David and Jen’s Vrbo again!

A great place to stay

Jennifer and David are wonderful, helpful and accommodating hosts! We felt very at-home with all the extra amenities! And the fall/Halloween decorations made our stay even more fun- especially when our 5 yr old granddaughter who lives close by came to visit. Next time we’re visiting our kids, we hope this will be available.

All the Comforts of home

I had a lovely stay. I was showing my standard poodle puppy at the Equestrian Center. It was dusty and dirty. I was so happy to come back to a clean, quiet 'home away from home '. My puppy also enjoyed our walks in the lovely neighborhood. He was so happy and relaxed we finished his AKC Championship and earned his first Grand Champion points as a puppy. We also enjoyed a hike in one of the many close hiking spots within 15 minutes of the property. I would highly recommend a stay at this property. .

A nice, centrally located retreat.

I was recently seeking solo lodging for a three night period during the course of an extended March ski trip to the Cottonwoods and decided to check VRBO for any last minute, available listings. Normally, I probably would've booked one of the nearby hotels for this time duration, but I thought it may be beneficial to have easy washer/dryer access with ski gear in tow. I'm somewhat familiar with the area, having stayed in there on numerous occasions over the past few years and I found the location of this basement apartment to be terrific, especially if you're headed up either of the canyons. It is literally one right turn, then one left turn and you are on your way to Alta/Snowbird. The place was clean, comfortable and well furnished, which did the trick for my short stay. The switch activated fireplace was a nice touch and there was seldom, if any noise heard from above throughout my stay. If I was looking for any negatives, I thought the residential street this was located might be marginally too busy traffic-wise to play street hockey on, but that alone wouldn't prevent me from returning in the future. Thanks again!

Utah ski escape

This property is just perfect for a couple of skiers heading to Utah. My wife and I absolutely loved staying here--so spacious and comfortable, well-appointed and equipped, and close to major ski resorts. All this nestled in a quiet and safe residential neighborhood. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great stay

Cozy and comfortable!

Exactly as described…and confirmed by other reviews before we stayed. This is a great place, in a quiet neighborhood. Private access to a nicely appointed kitchen, living and sleeping area. Well stocked with everything you would need. Great communication with Jennifer the owner made everything as smooth as possible. Convenient location to ski resorts and plenty of food and shopping options very close by. Definitely a keeper for future stays to SLC!

Great Weekend Getaway

Lovely little place

The listing was just as described. Very clean and well equipped. The bed was comfortable and 2 bathrooms would make it ideal for a larger group.The location is especially great for skiers and hikers! Hosts were great at responding and making sure I had what I needed.

Great location! Very large and the most provisioned property I have ever stayed!

I selected Jen & David's apartment for skiing the Cottonwood Canyon ski areas. Close - Snowbird was 20 minutes by my car or 2 minutes to the ski shuttle. So yes, all of the areas are very close. Their place is quite large and incredibly well stocked. In fact, I've never understood why so many owners stock their properties so poorly. I had drinks with Jen & David in the back yard one evening and I thanked Jen for her attention to detail. I can barely count all the places I've stayed around the world. Mostly the same, so much investment for the property and it's location, only to lack the inexpensive provisions that would be icing on the cake. Kudos to J & D! Very clean, large kitchen and master suite. I'll visit again next ski season (or maybe this fall).
