Easy Street - One of the nicest floating house on the lake!!!

THIS IS A FLOATING HOME AND REQUIRES A BOAT TO GET TO IT.

The Easy Street is one of the nicest floating house on the lake. It has 3 Bedroom (Sleeps 10 ), has 2 bathrooms, a side deck with an outside shower and a screened in porch offering an enjoyable water/sun experience on the lake. The house has a fireplace, Central AC/Heat, washer/dryer, 2 flat screen TV/VCR/DVD, CD and stereo. It has a complete kitchen including dishwasher, oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker. The large side deck has a gas grill and a swim ladder that is great for swimming or just lounging. In rear there is a large screened in porch.

Bedroom # 1 has a king bed on the first floor. There is a full bathroom located on the main floor. On the second floor there is another full bathroom and 2 bedrooms. Second bedroom has a queen bed and the third bedroom has 2 bunks, both are twin over queen.

100% Honest Review (THIS PLACE NEEDS WORK)

This floating house is nowhere near the nicest on the lake as the description states. This was our 4th floating house & it was easily the worst of all. It’s not being kept up at all. For $3800 for 4 nights, totally BS! #1 Absolutely no water pressure. #2 The first floor toilet was used once and never would flush again. #3 Upon arrival, shower hardware was scattered on the bedroom bed, possibly to repair the shower on the first floor that leaked the entire time. (We placed the hardware in the bedroom dresser drawer) #4 Again impossible to take a shower (Luckily the lake is refreshing) #5 All the outside railing needs replaced as is about to all collapse. Beware and don’t lean on it. #6 The kids couldn’t use the slide, it was not bolted to the deck in all places as the housing was all busted. #7 The boat cleats mounted to the porch were not secure enough to tie boat off as they were breaking away from the rough porch. #8 Several lights in the kitchen did not work. Possibly a hidden light switch, who knows. We all searched. #9 Outside screened in porch full of dead bugs, appeared to not have been swept this whole season. #10 Outside screened in porch fan, remote was dead and couldn’t use it at all. Too miserably hot without air movement to use. #11 All beds were terrible. Absolutely no comfort at all. w/ all this said, the owner is super nice & even lent us a boat for the 1st night, friends w/ boat got stuck on interstate. Out of character now.

Beautiful Home

This was our 3rd year at Whitman Hollow - the first staying in Easy Street. The house is definitely as pictured and even better - very high quality floors, cabinetry, and furniture. It accommodated our 4 adult, 4 kid group perfectly with room to spare. The kids loved the kayaks and the slide and the adults loved the screened in porch and big bedrooms. We did have several maintenance issues that were not resolved before our check-in. We let the property manager know about them as we found them and took care of a couple things ourself, but disappointed to have spent twice as much as other homes available only to have it not ready for guests and issues each day - Wi-Fi out, fridge not plugged in, washer not hooked up, no hot water and out of propane, slide was not bolted to deck, dishwasher leaked, shower leaked heavy enough to spray onto the floor our entire 5 night stay, screen door broke and hanging, and the grill was missing.The property manager did provide pizzas on the house one night, which was very appreciated. Again, just very disappointed to experience so many issues for the price paid, especially when the majority should have been resolved if anyone had proactively prepared the house for renters.

The house was Amazing and we enjoyed every minute. The people were so friendly and maintenance were so polite and on top of everything we needed. Great experience and would love to go back again! ❤️

Floating home

We enjoyed our stay for the first time in a floating home. Our only complaint was the sewage overflowed twice in 4 days and we threw away our toilet paper in the garbage can as instructed.

Hidden Gem

What a great vacation spot!! The convenience of having the boat in the water all the time allowed for relaxing mornings, non stressful days, and never ending fun!! The marina had EVERYTHING we could possibly need and the house was clean and new!! My only complaint would be… NOTHING! The manager was great and always available! Came out immediately when the tanks needed emptied/filled. The internet was spotty, but that was what we wanted, so it was heaven for us all to unplug and reconnect!! I honestly can say we will be renting again!! 💙

Like nothing else!!!

Beautiful home on the lake, fantastic marina close by who were very willing to help us out with anything we needed and also had great food & drinks. Home came with a lot of extras that the kids enjoyed like the slide, stand up paddle board, kayaks, and board games. Even caught a few fish right outside the front door.

Amazing stay

Really cool experience. House and kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed and then some. Owner went above and beyond. Only issue was WiFi- it is very intermittent. If you book this property you will also need a boat. You can book one directly from the marina where the property is located. The cheapest one available is about $300 a day. They book quick so make sure you book boat when you book property if you do not have your own boat.

Papaw goes Fishing at 87

We had a 60th party with friends and family and there was plenty of room. Caught lots of fish right off our dock. It was a great stay we will be back.
