This beautiful home has a private pool, private dock with immediate Ocean access. We are right up the street from Sombrero Beach, one of the very few and nicest beaches in the Florida Keys and Marathon Golf Coarse. Quick boat ride to many waterfront restaurants. Close to sandbars. GREAT LOCATION!!!

DURING PEAK RENTAL WEEKS, THE HOME IS ONLY RENTED SATURDAY TO SATURDAY.

Conveniently located just minutes from great restaurants, shopping and entertainment. 45 minutes from Key West.

Inquire about our Golf Cart and Boat available for rent. ARRANGEMENTS MUST BE MADE IN ADVANCE.

Pool heat available upon request. $350 weekly charge. Payment and arrangements must be made prior to check-in to assure pool is heated.

good location

overall just ok , Kitchen not enough utensils.No garbage bags, no paper towels, fans in bathrooms not working,louvered doors for bathrooms and bedrooms Bad idea.umbrella for out by pool would be nice to get out of sun,garbage and construction debris around property.its a decent place just need more attention to details.a bit disappointing for the money charged.

Marathon Stay

The location of this house was terrific. Sombero Beach was a quick bike ride or walk away and Publix was just up the street. The house is quiet and well furnished. Six adults and a teenager were very comfortable here. The pool was great as was the outdoor space. Arlene was very responsive to any issues we had and quick to respond. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful house with an amazing pool and views. Sunrise and sunset was amazing. The kids had fun at the pool. House was well kept and clean. Owner was friendly and available to answer questions. I would rent this house again and would recommend it to my friends

Perfect home for families

We had a great stay at the “Snappy Mermaid” home in Marathon. Our family enjoyed hanging out in the spacious pool and lovely backyard area. The dining and living room was large and comfortable enough for our group of eight. The location was perfect - 5 min drive to Sombrero Beach and only about an hour drive for day trips to Key Largo and Key West. Arlene (property manager) was helpful and very responsive. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Location! Great Home!

Our stay was amazing! This was the most turn key rentals I have stayed in- everything we needed was there. The location is great for easy access to groceries. The pool was a great way to end our evenings after spending the day on the boat. We rented the boat and golf cart which just added that extra dazzle to our vacation. The rental was great for our teens with extra space to move around. Arlene was great to work with! I would rent this home 10 more times. We have an absolute amazing vacation!!

Great property and location for a family retreat.

We had an amazing week with the family. Something for everyone to do. With the beach right down the road, open water access and great fishing off the dock, and a paradise back yard/pool, we all were able to relax and enjoy the week. The open floor plan upstairs made for great family time for meals, games, and just relaxing on the couch. Everything was as described accurately and anything that we did need help with, Arlene was quick to reply and remedy! Overall, a fantastic week at a great property with a wonderful host!

Wonderful property

The house worked so well for us. We had a mini family reunion with 3 couples. We each had sufficient space to spread out. We paid to heat the pool and had some lovely days just hanging at the pool. The location was really convenient. Walk to the Marathon beach. Publix and Winn-Dixie at the end of the street. About an hour drive to Key West.

Great spot!

Arlene is an amazing host and the property / location were awesome, just like the listing. We arrived on one of the coldest days ever in Marathon and the pool heater had failed and Arlene went into action and it was fixed immediately. We brought our own boat and tied up at the dock, the inlet to the ocean is only a block away. We rented the golf cart and went down the street to the awesome sandy beach and playground. The grocery store is just a mile away so everything was close and convenient.

Summer vacation

Great property. Very clean . We saw manatees and several iguanas . Needs life jackets For kayaks . I was told it’s a 200.00 fine if yr caught without them , not sure if that’s true or not . We bought some and we’re able to fit them in our suitcases . Over all it was great vacation! Thank you

Beautiful home in Marathon

The home was beautiful and Arlene was very easy to work with. Everything was clean, up to date, and in good working order. The only thing to pay attention to with the property is that the downstairs bedrooms are very small, and you will need to use a sort of communal dresser in the living area if you want to unpack your suitcase. Besides that, nothing but positive things to say!

Great Week on Marathon Key

The highlights of the week included kids having a great time in the pool during our week of great weather, along with a number of side trips. Access to the beach was easy - an approximately 10 minute walk. Activities included kayak rental (launch right at the beach), the Dolphin Research Center, The Turtle Hospital, Crane Point Hammock (don't miss it) and some great seafood. This property provides good access for all of this. Some property issues did require attention and we got prompt response from the property manager.

The vacation of a lifetime

This was by far the best vacation getaway I've had. It was a not only a place to relax but a place to decompress for our family and friends. The house was amazing and very well decorated. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you could need. The pool was so much fun and relaxing. We had such a great time we did not want to leave. The house is in a great location for anything you'd want to do in the keys about an hour north or south to go to anything you would want to do while visiting paradise. Thank you to our host Arlene for opening your home to our family. We had a wonderful time.

Perfect location for family vacation

Loved our stay in Marathon! The house was great. We loved the pool and the easy walk to the beach. We enjoyed kayaking right off the private dock and even spotted some manatees! We rented the golf cart and our adult kids loved taking it to and from the beach and gym. The owners are in the process of making improvements to the property and we felt very comfortable. One negative is that all of the doors - bedroom and bathrooms are slatted doors that do not keep sound out and lack a true feeling of privacy. That and none of the bathrooms have exhaust fans in them that work - other than that, we really enjoyed our stay. The owner was pretty good at responding to questions/concerns during our 8 night stay.

Marathon Home with Great Pool

The property is very nice, pool was perfect. We had some issues with the satellite TV, but was rectified along with the dryer not working. New dryer was delivered too late but will be ready for the next guests. Overall, a great place to stay with plenty of room. Two suggestions: More towels available for use and recommend new cotton sheets. The sheets in every bedroom are polyester and do not stay on the bed while sleeping.

Location is great

Home is good for having seperate space for couples or family from downstairs and upstairs. Short walk to Sombrero beach and driving distance to grocery stores or restaurants. A few things need attention ie. white plastic furniture outside needs powerwashed, lots of seating and table to enjoy outside view. As everyone else mentioned the slatted doors are not private but not an issue, you can just hear everything 😉 Having beach towels available was nice for the pool. Had issues with the boat we rented with house not available when we arrived but later refunded and we just rented elsewhere and everything was worked out. (previous renter damaged it or maintenance was being done). Getting in and out of canal by boat to house, just stay between the red small bouy markers, (look like crab markers at first) then out between the two wood markers. (Only one side is marked) GO SLOW and stay alert and use gps/simrad etc. Immediate access to ocean.

Wasn't all that clean, dirt & crumbs between the couch cushions, in the cupboards & under the furniture. House had a mildewy smell throughout & in the beds, partially helped by the air/con once we could get it turned up past 74. The fridge had a fishy smell, from the ice in the freezer. The bedsheets slipped off the beds each night. But the worst was the pool. It wasn't heating properly and when I complained the owner who cannot speak English very well came & padlocked it! No effort was made to fix it during the 10 days we were there so it was unusable. Also, it was never cleaned, had pieces of plastic, even a piece of sandpaper, in the bottom Overall we weren't happy with our stay & would not return or recommend.

Overall it was okay

Overall it was a nice place. All of the lights in the house were extremely bright and the fitted sheets came off the bed most nights. We paid for the pool to be heated and it was broken when we arrived. It took almost 48 hours for the pool to be comfortable for us and our young children to enjoy. The property manager was extremely difficult to understand and there was lack of communication between him and Arlene. He came to fix one of the ceiling fans and he handed me a broken part and said "this is garbage throw away". We also rented the boat for the week and it took a week to get our security deposit back after asking multiple times. The gas gage on the boat is broken so there is no way of knowing if the tank is full. We had filled the tank after the last day we used the boat and they still charged us saying it wasn't full. The house is on a relatively busy street so if you have little kids just be mindful of that. Like I said, overall it was nice but compared to our previous experiences at other places it could've been better.

Location and pool are EXCELLENT!

The beach is walking distance and the pool is big and nice. The dock is difficult for a boat but we are told it will be worked on soon. The canal entrance in to the ocean is only 3 ft deep at low tide so a large boat would need to watch that. The biggest drawback with the house is that the bedroom and bathroom doors are louvered shudders- not actual doors. Sound goes right through. Everyone better go to sleep and get up at the same time because there is no sound barrier and privacy is at a minimum. Very odd. All in all it is a nice vacation home.

Amazing Vacation

This property was perfect for our family of 6. The location is great, close restaurants and grocery stores by and tons of fishing. The owner was so nice and always available. My kids loved the pool everyday and our daily golf cart rides to the beach at the end of the street. We look forward to booking this house next year!

Paradise

Everything about this place was just amazing. We had the best time. The pool is big, clean, and relaxing. It was my granddaughter's first experience being in a pool and was so excited. The perfect family place with a large open concept area for us to gather together and play games. Arlene was so easy to work with. The keys are so beautiful already but this house made it even better. We loved this and have told many of our friends to reach out to Arlene. We would definitely be back again. Thank you Arlene. The pool guys and everyone was so nice. We even had a friend (iguana) that would come out to sun himself and hang by the sun and pool a few times. Thank you!!! This place is worth it.
