We stayed for a week in the delightful new flat (visiting family who had recently moved nearby. The flat conveniently near the airport; thankfully, has no noticeable noise pollution issues). We were wowed by the super-chic hyper-modern (yet warm) décor and furnishings, and spacious lounge, and patio. Though initially a little baffled - as decidely agé’d non-digital natives (though not totally tech-illiterate!) - by some of the minimalist fixtures and amenities, we did eventually work them out. The welcoming bottle of local white wine possibly a contributing factor. And, an early sign of the hosts’ caring attitude towards their guests’ comfort, as we discovered when we mentioned our slight mobility issue - when asked to suggest how they could make things more comfortable. We asked for a stool, to be able to sit while, in the (sleekly stylish) shower-room, we used the low-mounted hand-held shower head, or the over-head shower, in no-wobble non-slip safety. (A wheelchair could possibly enter the wide shower-cubicle, but this would naturally need to be checked with them. While on the accessibility subject, we should mention we were lucky our flat was on the ground-floor- there being no lift to the upper floors. We hadn’t but one presumably could pre-stipulate one’s needs). In sum, we can most definitely and happily recommend ‘our’ flat to all prospective guests, since while yet imagining a young tech-savvy target the hosts’ willingness to help can make any guest feel cared for.
