Admire gorgeous views of Buffalo Mountain as you sip morning coffee or sizzle steaks and veggies on the gas grill on the furnished balcony. After days full of outdoor adventure, relax on the chaise sofa in the living area. A wood-burning fireplace provides warm ambience while you stream favorite shows on the 46-inch smart TV with Roku. Whip up favorite dishes in the kitchen, equipped with a double-basin sink and a full suite of appliances. When it’s time to eat, convene for meals around the wooden dining table for four. Extra perks include games and books.

Situated just steps from the complimentary Summit Stage bus stop, adventures abound whether you are climbing mountain peaks, riding down them, or simply exploring the surrounding towns. Head just 1 mile to the Mesa Cortina Wilderness hiking area. The Tenderfoot Mountain Trailhead is a 10-minute drive. Downtown Silverthorne is just 2 miles away, offering a selection of restaurants, quaint coffee shops, and eclectic boutiques, as well as ice skating, golfing, and snowmobiling. In the warmer months, Dillon Marina offers boat, kayak, and paddleboard rentals, sailing lessons, and lakeside dining (3.7 miles). Hit the slopes at a number of nearby mountains, including Loveland, Copper, Breckenridge, and Keystone -- all within 17 miles.

Vacasa property management did not come through
We arrived late on a cold and snowy night and I had kids who were hungry and tired. The door code did not work. Vacasa did not answer their phone and I tried for 30 minutes. They got back to me via text at 3 in the morning. They provided 4 codes before one finally worked. We got in and the place smelled disgusting like cooking grease and there was a filthy waffle iron. There were no parking passes and there was no coffee maker. We didn't know if we would be towed and I didn't hear from a local agent until 11 am the next day. I spent my whole morning texting with agents at Vacasa to figure out how to handle the poor state of the condo and the horrible check-in process. The agent was very nice once I talked to him and he brought over a coffee maker and parking pass, but said his supervisor would contact me for compensation, e.g. a night's credit or something. I never heard from anyone again and I texted back multiple times and was ignored.

The management company is NOT the owner which equals problems
The condo is lovely. Top floor, views, snow, and your own space. It's relatively quiet but the weekends can get a little more noisy but it's still not a strike against this condo. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. A few things are glaring though, which may or may not be due to the weekend and the NYE holiday. Our first issue was the door code. A 10 digit number, with tiny keys, and no twist-deadbolt thingy. The directions are wrong. 8 out of 10 tries - NOPE. Carrying all your bags, or whatever all that way, only to find out you have to set everything in the snow/get blasted by winds and snow/or it's dark, and the key pad becomes a BIG irritation. You can't change the code. There is no other way...except there is a key hung in the kitchen, which I didn't notice the first 2 days. Use the key. The Schlage auto-lock is total bs. Next issue. Xfinity wifi. Nope. Reset, etc. etc. etc. It's the same as what we have at home. Totally OTS of service for our entire stay. Luckily, the tv was cabled in, or that would have be a no too. Vacasa, the management company, is infinitely contactable. They just don't do a thing except thank you profusely for staying there and giving them an opportunity to serve YOU. Until they don't. We got the "we"ll send a tech, asap," and then after multiple texts with I don't know how many people, they were like, Nope, not gonna happen. They blamed it on the owner being inaccessible. That's the point of a management company. They don't need to be in contact 24/7 with the owner. IMO. So, we went without. In Vacasa's favor, they did say they'd give us a discount. That was good. The remainder, in a nutshell, which is annoying, but not a deal breaker. The place had every different kind of hair lying around. And on the walls. Yes, walls. Also, in the towels (they did seem clean, despite the very long black hair, I hope.) If it was vacuumed, it was not well vacuumed. If the floors were washed, it's because of multiple uses of the mop or just lack of attention to details. The walls, were a surprise. Again, used rags, wiping down things. That's kinda gross. I avoided the bathroom walls, if I could. The electricals are a bit wonky. The upper bunk in the second bedroom might not work, unless the PORCH light is on. That switch is in the kitchen. The lights in that bedroom flicker. The floor in the kitchen also isn't heated, like it's supposed to be. I can't add more to this review, so I say good luck!
