Take a break in Bend at this adorable, two-story home on 1 acre in the woods located just a few miles from the city center, the Deschutes River, and miles of scenic hiking trails. Step through the front door of this open concept home and find yourself in a great room with a soaring, cathedral ceiling and a wall of large windows. The well-equipped, full kitchen to the rear includes updated appliances and a breakfast bar, while formal meals or family game nights can be enjoyed at the nearby dining table. When you're craving a little friendly competition, the game room offers air hockey, a "pop-a-shot" hoops game, and a foosball table.

And outside, have a great time in the fully fenced yard complete with your own private hot tub and outdoor wood stove. Guests need to provide their own firewood.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. Cozy & perfect home in Bend!

We had an awesome stay at South Bend Chalet. The house was so welcoming and clean, incredibly spacious located in a nice and quiet neighborhood. We hope to stay here next time we make our trip to Bend!

Relaxing and friendly neighborhood

We loved it! It was perfect for our long weekend in Bend. The kids enjoyed the hot tub and we loved the wide open floor plan. It was great for our family time.

Great stay at the Chalet!

Our family stayed at the South Bend Chalet for Thanksgiving and the kitchen was well stocked for all our cooking and baking needs. The hot tub and disc golf basket in the backyard are a bonus and the neighbors were friendly. Hiking trail near by is a bonus.

Great family home

Great home for families! Nice home with nice amenities. We enjoyed the games in the garage, baskets of toys, the big backyard and hot tube! The neighbors were nice and there was a country market nearby for some light groceries and sundries, and a drive thru espresso stand we’d stop by on the short drive into town.

Excellent weekend in bend!

We had a lovely weekend, staying in the spacious home with a fabulous, hot tub. Barry, chilling, relaxing atmosphere and lovely neighbors on both sides of the house.

Very spacious family home

Loves all the room for the kids to play. Very open space. Large backyard was nice also. Kitchen very well stocked with everything we needed. Only negative was the outlets upstairs were very loose, pretty much anything you tried to plug in would just fall out of the outlet. Other then that this is a great place to book if you have kids or a larger group with you. We enjoyed our stay.

We had a blast!

This home was great, it is as advertised! We needed a place to work remotely and be in close proximity for a concert. It did just that! Three people worked off the strong WiFi with no issues, virtual meetings and all. Backyard was massive and there is plenty of parking. The location was wonderful, putting you just outside the bustle of Bend but a quick, easy drive back in for restaurants/concert venue/shops. The home was clean upon arrival. We had a small snaffu with the door being locked incorrectly and guest services got us the back up lock box code quickly. We would of course consider this one again if we go with a larger group again.

Christmas at Bend.

The property had a great layout. The extra toys, ect. Was perfect for the grandkids. The reviewer that didn’t like the train noise, that was over rated. We had no problem with the train track noise. Plus the complaint of the fence with the neighbors dogs, also was over reacting. Our dog did just fine and had no issues with the neighbors dogs.

Improvements needed

When we got there the garbage was strewn all over the driveway by crows. Monday is the garbage day so it must have been missed. This task should be assigned. The home is not in tip top shape as somethings are broken, like the rear screen door, a ceiling fan screen. The front porch hadn't been swept and the front step hadn't been swept in a long time.

Nice house!

Lots of space, hot tub and game room kept everyone entertained! Kitchen was a bit sparse with dishes and supplies, but we made do. Loved that the yard was fenced in- very dog friendly!

Great Spot For Family

Game room was favorite for grandkids POP A SHOT ( basketball) air hockey and Poker . Foosball and outdoor play! Huge kitchen and living room.

It was fine

We might have given this place four stars, but it had some disappointing drawbacks for us. The king mattress in the master bedroom was awful. It was lumpy and uneven and clearly very old. There was bits of trash (like cut up plastic?) out in the backyard (we brought our dog). The dishwasher hadn’t been emptied and there were old coffee grounds in the coffee maker. There also weren’t any proper coffee filters for the coffee maker they have there. We had to do a good search in the house for more toilet paper and trash bags. The outside trash bins were full to the brim. We also weren’t huge fans of the location- driving in, we were a bit concerned about some of the neighboring properties. It’s also right near the train tracks; though we never heard a train horn, we did hear trains pass a few times. It would have been nice if there were some instructions typed out for the TV and remotes, though we did figure it out. The fence in the backyard was secure enough but not like a wooden fence, so the dogs in the neighboring properties could see our dog & vice versa, so keep that in mind if you have a dog that wants to interact (playfully or otherwise) with other dogs. The place is overall good for a family with kids and dogs- lots of room, games, etc., and the hot tub was nice too. Just a bit rough around the edges.

Doggie heaven at the South Bend Chalet

The house was perfect for us and our dog. The backyard was fully fenced and we amazingly survived 100 degrees heat in the house with him. The neighboring houses have dogs also so he was able to make new friends. The only downside was the road nearby was a bit too busy with no sidewalks so we did have to drive to trails to walk him. It was nice to have the option of a coffee maker or Keurig. Make sure to bring all the spices needed for cooking as only salt and pepper were available. Also house has a pellet smoker if you adventurous. No outdoor bbq that we spotted.

Great house! Convenient, spacious, well stocked.

I came for a girls weekend and South Bend Chalet was just what we were looking for! Easy to get to off the highway, quick drive to downtown bend! There was plenty of space for everyone- it well stocked with games, towels and amenities. Highlights were definitely the game room and the very clean hot tub in the massive backyard. Fully fenced in yard too - perfect for our dog. For any bikers in the group- it’s easy to bike on paved roads right from the house too. Can’t wait to return!
