Wonderful home with large backyard and plenty of guest space. Comfortable and quiet neighborhood with a short ride to downtown Alpine the gateway to Big Bend National Park, Terlingua, Lajitas, Marfa and beyond. Very clean and spacious. Wi-Fi and self-check in. This house can sleep up to 8 people and has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths.

Spacious Property

The house if spacious and well located for travel to Fort Davis, McDonald Observatory and Sul Ross Museum. We enjoyed our stay.

Great Host

Susie is the best. This is the 3rd time we have stayed with her. 2nd time at this house. Comfortable and spacious. Nice to be able to park in carport. We will always try to stay in one of her properties. Kitchen has all the basic you need.

Clean home in quiet neighborhood

Clean home in a quiet neighborhood. Perfect for our large group to set up as an our base for exploring west Texas. The backyard was a little wild for our younger kids so we just made sure to keep them out of the corners of the yard. Overall great stay.

Perfect place for us.

Clean and neat. The central A/C was broken but the window units in bedrooms and portable A/C in living room made it comfortable. Suzie was very responsive and accommodating with changing our reservation due to change in baseball schedule. Big bedrooms. Plenty of space. The only thing I needed that was not there was a large stock pot. Everything else we needed in the kitchen was there. Would stay there again and probably will the next time we need to go to Alpine for baseball.

Great stop for your big bend travels

The property is a stand alone home in a working class neighborhood. While somewhat mislabeled as it has two actual bedrooms with beds, an sunroom in back has a futon, inflatable mattress and it’s own door ( sliding to the outside and interior door to the main home. The living room has a spacious sofa and room for the other inflatable mattress. This worked out well for my friends and I, giving us each a private space. Cooking gear, linens, etc are provided by the host and the Air Conditioning works great, though we each used a provided portable fan to block out the snoring from each other lol. The host is quick to answer questions and communicates well. If you are looking for a reasonable place to fort up while exploring the big bend region at a reasonable price, this is a great option. We were able to fit four full sized motorcycles under the carport with room to spare underneath that we used to talk about the day, enjoy a cigar and an adult beverage. We were able to park a 20 foot trailer and the accompanying f350 dually next to the carport with room to spare. This isn’t a “party house” as you have neighbors that have to work, but for a group of more “mature” folks to use as a staging area, it’s had to beat at the price.
