Dirty and unfriendly host

We rented a house with friends and were disappointed when we entered the house. Rules are pasted around the house, but the host forgot the main rule that the house must be cleaned. When I wrote to him about issues,he just said sorry and stopped answering my messages. I wrote to customer service, added a photo, because all the appliances in the kitchen were dirty, the refrigerator inside too. There were no detergents for the dishwasher. The bathrooms were also dirty, there was garbage all over the house. The power went out in the bathroom, there was no light provided, and unclean. However, the owner refused to return the money for cleaning that was included in the price of the house. When we asked for a login and password for Wi-Fi, he didn't send it either (although everyone leaves a brochure for guests). I've never seen the owner behave like that, it's just terrible. I don't even know why he has such a house rating. After this visit, I do not recommend visiting it, it is dirty, hot (the owner controlled the air conditioning), the owner is not friendly.The service he provided was not pleasant and overall the stay wasn’t great. The kids in the house had to figure out other ways to get their school work done, as well as we needed to use our own mobile internet in order to get their school work. Instead of spending time relaxing and enjoying the vacation I have dreamed of, I spent my time cleaning this dirty house.I would never return to this house again. I do NOT recommend.

Too Many Things Not Functioning In The House

This was supposed to be a relaxing family vacation when we host our extended families but turned into an embarrassment as we had to put up with so many problems that the host was fully aware of but did not bother to disclose. Upon checking in, we informed the host that the washing machine was broken and was told a technician was scheduled to come out the week after our stay. So the host apparently knew about the broken washer but did not advise us prior to our arrival or we could have packed more clothing. There were only 5 bath towels for our group of 9 people with no hand towels or wash cloth. We had to ran out and buy towels the first night and buy t-shirts, socks, etc. during our stay as we fully counted on doing laundry there. In addition, the refrigerator was making a very loud noise and a sign was posted on the over the range microwave stating it was broken so there is no venting if you try to cook anything on the range. The dishwasher runs a full cycle without releasing the detergent tablet, many pieces of blinds are missing, towel bar in master bathroom was so poorly installed that it falls off if you try to hang a towel on it. The TV only has very basic free Roku channels with no local channels or cable. Cooking utensils are scarce and in poor quality. This rental is put together with cheap items and shows that the owner does not want to incur costs to fix things broken and does not care about guest experience.

Great Stay Near Niagara Falls

Home is in a new development; nice & upcoming area. Restaurants and stores nearby. More spacious than I expected, very nice size!! 4 rooms, 3.5 bathrooms. We were visiting Niagara Falls and the drive isn’t bad at all, maybe 20/25 mins. Would definitely stay again.

New semi- detached house

Clean, fairly spacious, downstairs is open plan with internal access to garage. Car is needed. New neighbourhood to the N/E of Welland. Good access to highway and QEW - 1 1/2 hrs to Toronto airport.
