Om boendet

My wife and I bought this cabin as a personal weekend retreat. We have been updating the cabin the past year and thought we would like to share it with others. We think we have provided everything that is needed for an enjoyable stay. If you like to sit on the front porch in a couple of rocking chairs and watch a sunset, we have you covered. If you would like to build a fire in the backyard, we have a 5 foot fire pit with wood provided. Gas grill is provided for your outdoor cooking.

The whole place is yours for the stay. There are 2 bedrooms, one on the main level and one in the loft. The full bathroom is on the main level. There is a half bath in the loft. We have a fully equipped kitchen and a coffee station. 65" Smart TV is located in the living room. Parking is not an issue, there is plenty of space.

We are as available as you need us to be. If you encounter an issue, please message us.

We are pet friendly for well behaved dogs. That being said, we do ask that if you are leaving the cabin for dinner out or visiting friends, that you crate your dog with the crate provided. We do have food and water bowls for your furry family member. Picking up after you pet would be appreciated. Please select that a pet will be joining you and the pet fee charged will be $50 per stay.
Early check in or late check out is available for a fee of $20. We may not know if this is available until the day before.

There is an air mattress, with pillows and comforters in the pantry area if you have more than 4 guests.

Nice cabin

Nice cabin neighbor’s barking dogs were annoying at times having to move the gas grill out of cabin down the stairs to cook and then move it back before we left was kind of a problem other than that we enjoyed our stay

Perfect little get away

This cabin is so cute and just the right size for 6 adults. It was the perfect location, not too far from town but not too close either. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch so much, luckily the weather was nice and would love to come back in the fall, when the trees will be bautiful

Great Hunting Stay

In an area great for Illinois Whitetail hunting, this was a great cabin with everything we needed to stay. The sleeping arrangements were perfect for our group with a master bedroom on the first floor and a couple of beds in the loft. The living room had great recliners which made taking a quick nap easy. The kitchen had all the basics needed to cook throughout our stay and the full bath had all needed including a laundry sink. The front porch, deck, and fire ring in the back yard gave us plenty of outdoor options. It’s a good option if your wife comes along as it is far from roughing it. We plan to go back.

Comfy and quiet

This cabin was secluded and quiet. Comfortable and clean. Check in was easy and our Host was so accommodating with the whole process. Husband and I wanted a quiet secluded location to rest and game on our laptops. This fit our needs perfectly! The wifi worked great even if cell service was an issue but that isn't at all the fault of the host at all simply the secluded area. The shower was nice with great water pressure and hot water. Although we didn't use the washer and dryer it was nice it was an option had we needed to use it. Definitely a great place and we enjoyed our visit!

Cozy, clean and relaxing cabin!

I took a group of teenagers to visit Western Illinois University, and we have the most wonderful time. Rick is an excellent host and communicator! He made sure that we made it safely and were able to get in and settled with no issues. You can tell that he genuinely cares about his guests. He was very quick to reply when we locked ourselves out and came to the rescue immediately! This cabin was extremely clean, and the teenagers loved all of the books and games that the hosts had available. I, myself, was extremely grateful for the wide selection of Keurig drink pods available. Everyone was able to find a flavor they liked to make a hot drink after a long day in the February cold. We all felt so relaxed in this beautiful log cabin while spending quality time together! 10 out of 10, would highly recommend, and will absolutely be booking again in the future! Thank you Rick!

Peaceful vacation

Cabin is clean, well-maintained, well-equipped. Host is a pleasure to deal with. Neighbors are not too close and quiet themselves. Highest recommendation.

Quiet and Cozy Cabin

The cabin is located in the quiet countryside. It had plenty of room for our family and we loved that we could bring our dog! Owners of the property communicated well and let us know we could contact them at any time. We felt safe and comfortable in this cute little cabin! It had all the things we needed. Comfortable & Peaceful Country Cabin

Our family was welcomed at this beautifully renovated and comfy cabin while visiting family during our uncle’s memorial. We were pleasantly surprised to find such a nice accommodation in the area! With three large beds in two bedrooms, cabin was perfect for us and our three teen boys. The cabin is nicely finished inside with a well-equipped kitchen and bath with laundry. The location is tucked away off the highway situated on a large lot with trees and a lovely pond behind the cabin. It’s a great getaway, and we would absolutely stay here again!

Very nice

We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean, accommodating and private. We brought our dogs. If you bring your furbabies, something to note, there is only 1 small/medium sized crate. Our 2 80 lb babies go with us everywhere so it wasn't an issue. The hosts communicated wit us well throughout our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice Cabin Weekend Getaway

We wanted a nice family getaway for our 3 day weekend and didnt want to have to travel too far. Found this cabin for a great price and it did not disappoint! It was in a nice area and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again!
