Our mountain house is only 90 minute drive from the city, but already hidden in the mountains of Upstate New York.
Located in a dead end street that leads to Rosa Gap Fire Tower hiking and Rosa Gap state forest. Those are less then 10 minutes walk from the house.
Minnewaska state park is about 17 minutes drive.

Enjoy BBQ, and mountain fresh air on expanded patio.

Fireplace and a lot more to comfortably enjoy your weekend getaway with a family.

Pretty and cozy weekend in

We had a wonderful time at Marta's place! The tall living room window overlooking the distance is stunning, and the kitchen was well equipped for a group who loves to cook. The king-size bed was comfy and luxurious, and we especially loved the wood-burning stove in the living room for the unexpected (but beautiful) snowy weekend.

Perfection

We were in town for a wedding and had to bring our dogs. This property has everything you could need so all you need to bring is your clothes. The neighborhood was quiet and we would get regular visits from the local deer. The yard and fire pit were a perfect way to end the day. The house was clean with plenty of space to stretch out. It felt secluded even though there are neighbors. Communication with the host was spot on. I would definitely recommend this place if you need to stay in the area.

Clean and serene

We loved staying in this beautiful country getaway home. Very comfortable with everything we needed to relax, especially yard and deck which were wonderful. The house was very welcoming after long days of activity. We also enjoyed hiking to the fire tower to watch the sunset. I would love to stay here again sometime!

Country Setting

Beautiful home outside of Middletown NY, with a country setting. My son, fiancé and daughter and I stayed here for a visit with family and hiking. It worked out perfectly.

Lovely house in beautiful surroundings

Nice and quiet. Everything you need is provided. Sadly we had 2 rainy days, but we walked to the roosa gap fire tower with the kids on a nice morning! Great views from the back deck.

Great break from Florida heat

Great stay for 2 weeks in the northeast. Marta is a great host. It was close to family and friends for us. Also close to restaurants and hiking areas. Only downside is no AC in the house, had a couple days in the 80s outside, inside was also mid 80s. We brought our own fans to help. Other than that, no major issues.

Quiet and comfortable place

We stayed three nights and had everything we needed. The place was in a quiet neighborhood and the rooms and kitchen were well equipped. Lots of space and a nice deck. We even got to see a black bear roaming the property.

Peaceful retreat

My husband, our dog and I stayed here for two nights to escape the very loud fireworks near home. This house was very well kept. Has all the necessities and very comfortable. Marta was very easy to communicate with and we had a very enjoyable two nights. We went to the Brimstone Winery which was excellent and we talked with the owner for a long time. Small family owned business. The next day we traveled to the closest town and walked around and purchased take out food from the local Mexican restaurant which was amazing. We had planned to hike but unfortunately the weather was not conducive to that but we relaxed at the home which is very welcoming. The layout is great and if you had more guests there is plenty of room for more than just one couple. This was the perfect retreat for us and we got the most out of a peaceful retreat upstate NY.
