Traditional Dutch Antilles style home with 3 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, located in the quiet residential neighborhood Sabadeco, about 4 miles from downtown Kralendijk.

Large porch (half screened) leads to spacious sundeck with shade from three Royal Palms. Path through lovely native plant garden leads directly to neighborhood reef. Green space often is filled with loras and hummingbirds. Wonderful diving and snorkeling down a ladder at the end of the path (dive site is between Barkadera and Oil Slick for those who are already familiar with Bonaire’s epic shore diving). Outdoor shower, rinse tank and clothesline for afterwards.

Return from diving to well-equipped kitchen and dining space for up to 10 people (one dining area is screened which is so nice on a buggy evening). Large living room for games and streaming services. Kitchen includes stovetop, oven, coffee maker, full sized refrigerator/freezer with ice maker and dishwasher. Clothes washer (no dryer) in pantry.

Inside, the home is intentionally simple with a focus on the beautiful outdoor setting. Three bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, have king beds and doors that open to the outside. Master bath has double sinks and showers as well as a safe in the walk-in closet. Bedrooms have glass windows, as well as shutters and screens, if you prefer to use the air conditioning units rather than the ceiling fans.

Primary living spaces feature grand doors and windows with screens and shutters to catch the famous Bonaire ocean breeze that the house was designed for (as is typical in Bonaire, living spaces other than bedrooms are not air conditioned).

Soft teak floors, high ceilings with ceiling fans, tiled baths and kitchen, and plenty of lounge furniture all reinforce the beach vibe.

Neighborhood is very quiet and residential; several houses are permanent residents. Sabadeco is very close to the Northern dive sites and beautiful coastal road. Ocean path is shared with 3 other homes. High speed internet with Wifi included. Parking in driveway fits 2-3 dive trucks.

This is a perfect house for a family or dive group looking for a relaxing nature-filled Bonaire experience.

Could not be better!

Upon arrival at the airport we were greeted by the smiling face of Greg who took fantastic care of our every need during our one week stay. This immaculate home was perfect for our three generation family trip. Everyone had their own lovely bedroom with ensuite bathroom. We enjoyed creating delicious meals in the well appointed kitchen. Breakfast on the covered deck with a cacophony of bird songs and diner in the lanai after the nightly color show of the sunset over the aqua blue water. The teens loved snorkeling several times a day right off the path. The location was perfect for setting off to explore the Island, 1000 steps a five minute drive north then on to see the flamingos of Lake Goto and Rincon to the National Park. Also five minutes to downtown Kralandijk, shopping and cafes. The home was central to us having a great trip!

March 2025 review

There are many good aspects to this house: location, charm, proximity to shoreline. The manager support is excellent. The location is convenient and peaceful.Things I would consider improving: tighten up the screen integrity (some were not intact leading to mosquitoes) and clean out the pantry/older supplies as well as the kitchen drawers/cupboards of miscellaneous kitchen equipment.

Easy breezy

This property allowed us to come and go as we pleased, no noise from neighbors or orher guests to the island. We were able to do a dive off the access here at the house among many others and had just as beautiful view as any. ThThe drive to town is easya

Spacious house for family trip

Our family enjoyed the large outdoor spaces to watch the birds and lizards and enjoy the Bonaire warmth. The reef in front of the house is the best we found on the island, and we dove there multiple times. Very convenient to dive at home! Saw a large lobster on a late afternoon dive. The beds were all very comfortable with crisp white linens.

Family Trip

Fantastic location and amenities. The kitchen was well equipped although I wish some of the appliances were more user friendly. Having said that, there were very clear instructions provided. It was so nice to be met at the airport by Denise who waited patiently while we got our rental car and showed us the way to two supermarkets. We also really appreciated the presence of door stops to hold the doors open.The house setting was especially peaceful and beautiful and we loved the lizards.

Don’t want to leave

This property was amazing. Exactly as it’s described! It is well appointed for all activities, including diving, snorkeling, but also cooking. There were only four of us and we had so much room. Our communication with the owner was instantaneous. And Greg and Denise, our local contacts, were spot on every time we needed something. Can’t say enough good things!

Quiet residential neighborhood. Wonderful ocean view and direct ocean access for divers or snorkelers. House is perfectly equipped. Greg the property manager is an amazing asset - knows everything and everyone on the island. Highly recommend; we will be back.

Great house!

This was our first time to Bonaire and we really enjoyed this house. We had a friend with us, so we liked the guest bedrooms being separated from the primary bedroom. Kitchen was one of the most well supplied of all the VRBO's we have stayed in. The fan controls and light switches are a little tricky, but we figured it out, I would suggest having Greg the house manager review all the switches with you when you get there to save you some time. The reef in front of the house is lovely and easy to dive and snorkel. We had Greg leave a cart for us so my husband could bring tanks down to at least the half way point, you have to walk the rest down to the water. Ladder is easy to install and use. My favorite part was visiting with the Lora's each morning around 7:30 am, a family of 4 would show up and stick around until about 8:00 am. Great house and I would stay again. Thanks for having us Shannon!

Deserving of More Than Five Stars

I can't say enough good things about our stay at Casa Mira. The property owner was wonderful and communicative. She put us in touch with the property managers, Greg and Richmend, who took incredible care of us while we were on Bonaire. To be greeted by Richmend's smiling face was such a wonderful start to our adventure, and he took amazing care of us all week. As for the property itself- it's just lovely. The photos don't do the gardens around the property justice. They are alive with birds and lizards- so much fun to watch. The house is enormous and airy, with three spacious bedrooms, four bathrooms, a very well appointed kitchen, huge screened porch and open porch. Six people could stay here very comfortably. The mini-split AC unit in the master bedroom (each bedroom has AC) was very welcome, as it was much warmer than I thought it would be. The beds are comfortable, the pillows were perfect, the linens were high quality. It was a wonderful place to come home to after a full day of SCUBA, and we slept very, very well. The fans did a nice job in the rest of the house, and along with the breeze off the ocean, the common spaces stayed comfortable during the day, and even better in the evenings. If you're coming to dive, this property has its own access to the ocean between #21 Barkadera and #22 Andrea II dive sites. The walk isn't bad, even with gear on, and we enjoyed night diving from our own place. I have more to say but I've hit the limit. We simply loved it.

Wonderful house and location for scuba divers

this was a home away from home for us and the two other couples we stayed with. The location is fantastic with easy access to snorkel and scuba only a short walk along a paved private walk. The screened in porch and bedrooms with A/C make this house very comfortable. the neighborhood is remote and very safe. The property manager is always just a phone call away. Highly recommended rental!!

Perfect vacation home

From check in to check out everything ran smoothly. The back deck is difficult to summarize. There were birds and lizards everywhere and it was so peaceful and quiet. We dove several days without leaving the property, the ocean was right there! All of us enjoyed our stay and hope we will be able to visit again.

Spectacular, Pristine, Peaceful, Private, Ultra Clean, and Safe Property

This exquisite home/casa was one of the finest places I've ever stayed. Here's why. The home is located on a cul-de-sac in a very safe neighborhood on a large lot that has the most amazing natural backyard (full of tropical birds and butterflies) that provides you with a path down to a private coastal marine sanctuary where you can dive, snorkel, and/or just swim in crystal clear water full of coral and unlimited number of fish, etc. The views from this coastal sanctuary are wonderful too, night or day. The home itself is very clean, full of lovely furniture and tropical decorations. The kitchen is fully equipped (with a grocery store about 6 miles away). The air conditioned bedrooms are very nice with very comfortable beds and wonderful showers/tubs. The city is a mere 10-12 minute drive with very minimal traffic most of the time. The icing on the cake is the extremely friendly, professional, knowledgeable property manager. He will graciously help you with whatever you need (including airport pick up/return and a rental truck) and will do so with a genuine smile every time. The host is also just wonderful. She will also help you with whatever you need. Her restaurant recommendations were awesome. I hope to return to Bonaire and if I do, I will be sure to stay here again. Do not hesitate to book this fine place if you plan on going to Bonaire. Thank you so much for a first class place to stay.

Great place to hang out and dive

We've stayed at a number of properties, visiting bonaire annually for dive trips. This year a good friend and I both have small children and came with our significant others and one child each. We took turns diving and spending our surface interval with the kids. This property was lovely and the private dive site was excellent. Property manager was very helpful and could not have asked for a better stay. Will definitely look forward to rebooking this next year.

Casa Mira Bonaire

Our stay at Casa Mira was one of the best experiences we have had renting a property. The property was clean and well stocked with necessary items for our stay. The views from the deck as well as the path to the water are breathtaking. If that wasn’t enough, the host of our stay Greg, was the best host/manager we have ever experienced. He was extremely helpful throughout the stay with whatever we needed, and made us feel at home. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful home on the coast in an ideal location

The Santa Barbara Crowns area is our favorite neighborhood in Bonaire. Very close to town but also right on the coast and easy to get to the wonderful dive sites up north like Oil Slick, 1000 Steps, Tolo, etc. This home is newly remodeled as of summer 2023 and very comfortable. Large beds in each bedroom along with bedroom AC units, lots of ceiling fans for the heat in the living room and the porches. The screened in porch is especially nice if mosquitoes are around. Great setup for dive gear with rinse tank and hanging lines, plus a short walk to a private ocean entry for swimming and diving. Host and house manager are very thoughtful and always available. Would highly recommend! We loved our stay here and will look to come back for future visits.

Sabadeco was the only place we considered when looking for a Bonaire home. We love the quiet residential vibe and proximity to the fabulous Northern dive sites. Town is only a short drive if we want to shop or go out to dinner.
