Great Value

My sisters and I stay at HHR every year, so I’m comparing this unit to the others we’ve experienced at this resort over the last 15 years. Unit was clean, with comfortable beds. The kitchen was adequately stocked with pots and pans etc. for our two week stay. Appliances are newer. The air conditioning was very good. Some negatives were lack of storage (the closets have cleaning supplies, child gear, beach chairs, etc., so not much room for our things. If there is an additional storage locker for this unit it would be helpful as we had to haul our beach chairs, canopy, etc. in the elevator daily. As another reviewer mentioned, the living room furniture is not comfortable. Lastly, communication wasn’t good. I made my reservation six months before my trip, and was told their agent would contact me nearer to the trip date. That never happened. Luckily I was able to reach out to property management the day before arrival to get codes, but the security gate did not have our info and refused to allow the second car into the gate. This was resolved, however the owner never responded to me when I started getting worried about this and reached out a week ahead. It shouldn’t have fallen on me to follow up, as this is their business.

Gillade: Incheckning, plats och annonsens riktighet

Needs a little work.

The unit was not very clean when we checked in. We swept it using a broom and got a fairly large pile of dirt. There isn't a single comfortable piece of furniture in the living room. The living room needs more light, 3 bulbs were burned out. All electrical outlets need replacing, they are so old that plugs just fall out of them. They need an instruction sheet for the TV's and internet. There were 7 remotes for 3 tv's and some were not in the same rooms with the tv and 2 had dead batteries. Tv's worked fine once those mysteries were solved. There is very little storage space in the kitchen and nearly every cabinet is full of glasses and dishes so there is no place to put food. A pantry cabinet could be added to the eating area for that purpose. The 3 closets have vacuums, cleaning supplies and owner's stuff which limits storage space. The main bathroom fan didn't work. The kitchen didn't include dish towels or rags or pot holders, a colander, cutting board, sharp knives, vegetable peeler. We expected the laundry to be in the unit however the information didn't specify that but $7 per load seems very expensive. The heated pool, hot tub and gym were very nice to have for a winter stay and were never crowded. The entire complex is well maintained and kept very clean and neat.
