Major Problems Caused Inconvenience

Arrived late to the house, woke early in the morning to no heat. The heat had been shut off due to bill not being paid. No hot water, heat and gas stove did not work. We had to scramble to find alternatives for showers and cooking. Owner promptly made arrangements to have the gas turned back on but was not prepared to be at the property for the tech to re-light the pilot light on the water heater. Day 2 - no internet, reconnected on our last day. Again had to make alternate arrangements to connect with office. Garage - significant amount of mouse feces. While we did not see mice, I assume the house has an infestation. Couch - was disgusting, we did not sit on the couch. Kitchen - lacked a toaster. Without gas for the stove, a toaster would have helped for some basic breakfast. Property address - address on VRBO does not match actual address - road name is not 100% accurate. I asked the owner for some type of compensation for a miserable and inconvenient stay, we were denied. I'm sure I will get a poor rating from the owner for some weird reason as payback for this review.

I enjoy the outdoors which is why Texas was such a great place for me to live for a bit. The home isn't too far from the bustling life of Austin, but far enough away to avoid the noise. I loved this area and hope you do too.

The home is in a newly built community which is nice because the neighborhood is clean and the homes looks nice. I love the way the homes look in the neighborhood as well.
