Perdido Key is the perfect quiet and family-friendly beach town. It offers wildlife viewing at the beautiful Johnson Beach National Seashore state park, as well as multiple hiking trails and historic landmarks. There are so many adventures to choose from such as; fishing charters to take you to the best spots only locals know about, and don't forget to try one of the Dolphin cruises to experience the open water in a way you will most certainly never forget. There's also Lost Key Golf Club, a public 18-hole golf course. Let's not forget the local flavors to be enjoyed at the many restaurants serving our fresh caught seafood.

Love Windermere!

This is our 3rd Windermere unit we have had the pleasure of staying at. I will continue to search this property each time we are booking a visit to Florida.

Condo Unit (not building) was Rundown

We loved Perdido Key and the Windmere itself, but this particular unit was bad. It was rundown and in major need of repairs. There was a lingering mildew smell throughout the whole condo that was even worse the day it rained. The majority of the furniture was broken and most of the decor was taken off the walls and stored in the closets - nails and hooks were just left on the walls. The major issues existed in the kitchen, utility room, and master bath. Kitchen: When opening cabinet doors, the mildew smell just hit you. The dishes apparently are always put up wet so the wood (particle board) absorbed and just stunk. It left a smell on the dishes, so we didn't use them. The top on the faucet was broken as well. Utility Room: Total fire hazard! An electrical box was wide open with wires coming out everywhere - right next to the washer machine. The washer and dryer were a bit rusted out and the dryer lint trap had a large hole right in the middle allowing lint to enter the interior of the dryer. Master bathroom: The toilet was loose and rocked when you sat and it had grime all around the base. There was mold along and behind the caulking of the shower and the hot water didn't work. The drain pull on one of the sinks was broken off. The cabinets in there also stunk of mildew. We met owners of other units who were appalled to hear about the condition. We knew it wasn't a luxury condo, but expected it to be in decent condition with the amount of money it cost. Disappointment!
