From the family that brought you Furry Tale Farm, Buck Hollow Lodge and Furry Tale Mercantile, comes a new way to get more out of your stay: Furry Tale Inn in historic downtown Kendrick, only 30 minutes east of Lewiston and Moscow! Your host, Deanna Nelson, applied decades of experience in event planning, decorating, retail and marketing to transforming the historic building at 704 East Main Street into an enticing mix of century-old grace and charm, 21st century style, and down-home hospitality. Deanna and her sister, Sharlene, founder of Kendrick’s own Furry Tale Mercantile, fell in love with the Kendrick area and have become extraordinarily active in community events, festivals and activities. They love sharing Kendrick’s magic with visitors from all over the country.

With down-home charm, shopping, dining, cocktails and only a short drive to Moscow, Lewiston, Dworshak State Park, and thousands of acres of publicly accessible land, historic Kendrick desperately needed a Main Street destination with enough bedrooms, bathrooms, common areas and kitchen space to accommodate a large family or group of friends. When the historic building at 704 East Main Street became available, community boosters and proprietors of Kendrick’s own Furry Tale Mercantile, Sharlene and Deanna, signed the lease and got to work! When family comes to visit and you need more room; when you need an in-town base for hunting or fishing; or the many community festivals, events, business opportunities and attractions make staying in town the best option, Furry Tale Inn is the place for you!

One of the oldest remaining buildings in Kendrick, Furry Tale Inn’s original brick walls have seen more than a century of colorful characters, some of whom, it is rumored, still make themselves known on occasion. Our 21st century guests will appreciate the many first-floor dining and sitting areas, full kitchen, TV Room, bathroom and outside patio, perfect for families and friends who like to hang out, barbecue, play games, read, work and watch movies.
