Sold property

We booked the property in Jan for a March stay. During that time the property was sold. We were never informed of this and showed up to find contractors working on the house. No communication at all. Terrible customer service up front. We did get the refund. Thankfully we only had 3 people so we were able to get a hotel in town.

Completely Unacceptable – A Nightmare Experience with Owner Brion

I am beyond frustrated with my experience at this VRBO property. The owner, Brion, cancelled my booking the DAY OF my trip, completely ruining my planned travel. I had a group of 8 people relying on me to plan this trip, had been looking forward to my stay and made all the necessary arrangements around this reservation, only to be blindsided with a last-minute cancellation that left me scrambling for alternatives at the last minute.This level of irresponsibility is absolutely inexcusable. A last-minute cancellation on the day of arrival is a major disruption, not only wasting time but also causing financial loss and immense stress. I had no time to find another accommodation that met my needs, and Brion’s lack of professionalism made what should have been an exciting trip feel like an utter disaster.As if the cancellation wasn’t bad enough, Brion made no effort to make amends or offer any form of compensation for the inconvenience caused. It’s clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority here. Do yourself a favor and avoid this property at all costs. The owner clearly has no regard for his guests' time or plans, and you’ll be left in the lurch just like I was. Save yourself the headache and choose somewhere with a responsible, reliable host.

A must stay

We were in Madison on business and had to find a place to stay last minute. The owner of this property was so accommodating. The house and appointments were fantastic!! We highly recommend staying here and will rent this property again!

Canceled

I was traveling with 6 people to Madison. Our check in time was 3 p.m. We were travel to this vrbo and received an email from the vrbo app that our stay was canceled at 3:20 p.m. Thankfully it wasn't busy in Madison so we found a hotel. I would have expected a phone call as this caused a significant change to our plans. Also never received an answer about the status of the hottub.

Overall good stay

The place is spacious with plenty of beds and bathrooms. The open concept on the main level was nice for our girls weekend; however, there were misrepresentations in the listing, including no working hot tub and a Keurig machine vs coffee maker, and a lack of timely response from the host re: our questions. There was a lack of basic toiletries, such as toilet paper, hand soap and paper towels. With a large group of us, there were not enough bath towels and most bathrooms did not have hand towels. The stove is induction and most of the pots/pans are not compatible, which is a major challenge for those who want to cook. The kitchen lacked utensils and cookware, and again with a large group, more coffee mugs, flatware and dishes would be appreciated. With a few more basics and some tweaks to the listing this would be a great place for girls weekend.

Good Location

Great location and nice house! There were just small things that the owner said would make changes going forward. The coffee maker didn’t work, we were given a total of one towel per room, basic toiletries not stocked, and basement bed not comfortable. For what we paid expected a bit more.
