Charm and tranquility

Charming well appointed house in a rural, quiet setting full of French Provencal flavour. Centrally located for all the Luberon villages. Comfortable bed, several sitting areas indoors and outdoors,. As it was fall, we enjoyed the fireplace in the evenings. Easy to locate, the owner was very helpful with our questons as was her superintendant. We would not hesitate to return.

Lovely week in a charming mas

We enjoyed a lovely week at the Mas de Veroncle at the start of August. The house is charming and well equipped with much needed aircon (in the main bedroom and lounge areas) and fans providing welcome comfort from the heatwave in early August that the area was experiencing when we visited. The property is an old farmhouse situated at the end of a bumpy track just 10mins drive down the hill from Gordes. The interior of the house has been cleverly renovated and lovingly furnished by the owner and we really felt we were staying in a welcoming home rather than a holiday let. The downstairs of the property is well laid out to make good use of the whole space with a small kitchen, dining room, bathroom with separate WC and two lounge areas (with a mezzanine level above leading to the bedrooms.) The main bedroom is very nice with en suite shower and sink and the other two bedrooms are of a good size with sinks. There is also a separate shared toilet upstairs. The mezzanine level provided the ideal extra bed space for our party of 8. Outside there are two additional dining areas (don't forget your mosquito spray!), an attractive garden of plants and gravel pathways and wooded grounds that the children enjoyed exploring. The pool is fabulous and bigger (about 10 metres long) than we were expecting – really warm (although unheated) and deep enough to dive into much to the kids' enjoyment (fishing out creepy crawlies that wandered into the pool also kept them amused!) Wifi is available at the house and has very good range down to the pool but sadly a fault on the line two days into our stay meant we went without for the rest of our week and any repairs that had been in progress were thwarted by the flash floods that hit the area later that week. Gordes town is only a 10 minute drive up the hill and is truly stunning to look at! We'd recommend La Bastide de Pierres by the roundabout for a family meal - speedy and quality Italian/European fare! Corinne, the owner, made us feel extremely welcome and was very attentive throughout our stay. A huge thanks for the recommendation to visit Sault which is a lovely hilltop town and home to the shop of Chateau de la Gabelle at which we made a significant purchase of the gorgeous lavender toiletries that Corinne so thoughtfully provided in the bathrooms. The shower gel is amazing! We had a wonderful week, Corinne - thank you!

Superbe séjour

Corinne et Lydie (la propriétaire et la gérante sur place) sont très joignables et attentionnées. La maison est superbe et très chaleureuse. Nous projetons de revenir au printemps car nous sommes venu en hiver ce coup-ci et souhaitons découvrir la maison et les environs à une autre saison, la piscine, les champs de lavandes ... Très beau mas, ancien et bien rénové, plein de charme.

Très belle propriété, perdue dans la campagne, à quelques kilomètre de Gordes. Les chambres sont exactement comme dans le descriptif. Trois grandes chambres, plus possibilité de lit pour deux adultes sur la mezzanine. Le tout très bien équipé. Magnifique piscine. Les abords sont un peu anciens, mais franchement vous n'y ferez pas attention. Calme garanti ! On est loin de tout, tout en restant très proche de Gordes (trois minutes en voiture), ou de Coustellet ou Apt pour le ravitaillement (Coustellet à 10-12 minutes). Il y a la climatisation dans les pièces communes et dans la grande chambre. Les deux autres chambres sont équipées d'un ventilateur avec brumisation légère. Ceci dit, la maison est fraîche, et vous n'en aurez besoin qu'en cas de canicule. Le mas est entouré d'arbres. Pas de vue, donc. Ceci dit, madame de Potter envisage de dégager la vue en coupant certains arbres: à voir avec elle si les travaux ont été exécutés avant votre séjour. Madame de Potter et son intendante Lydie, sont très prévenantes, très responsives, disponibles et bien organisées. Conclusion: nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances!

Absolute Privincial charm

We had a fantastic stay at Mas de Véroncle. The house is so charming and comfortable. We loved having dinners at the outside table surrounded by beautiful nature and the sound of the cigales. Gordes is a short drive away and from the house you can enjoy walks in the countryside. A fantastic experience in true Provence style.

So peaceful

Lovely property in a really peaceful setting, yet close to Gordes and Rousillion and other nice places to visit and for restaurants etc. Coustellet best place to go for food provisions with a really good market on Sunday mornings, good bakers (opposite side of road from supermarket. Corinne met us on arrival and was very welcoming. A really lovely place to stay; property very nice, clean and comfortable.

Traumhaftes Haus in der Nähe von Gordes

Wir haben mit zwei Familien einen wunderschönen Urlaub in diesem sehr gepflegten Haus in der Nähe von Gordes verbracht. Es standen eine Flasche Wein, Brot und eine sehr leckere Tapenade für uns bereit. Die Vermieterin Madame De Potter hat uns herzlich in Empfang genommen und uns viele schöne Ausflugstipps empfohlen. Die Ausstattung des Hauses war perfekt, wir haben nichts vermisst. Das Haus liegt etwas abgelegen, trotzdem ist man sehr schnell in den umliegenden Orten. So kann man Gordes gut zu Fuss erreichen und es sind sehr schöne Spaziergänge rund um das Gebiet möglich. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

Fantastic place to stay

A very special farmhouse where one can relax and unwind as well as use it as a base to explore this area of Provence. Fully equipped kitchen, large bedrooms, dining room that seats eight and comfortable living area. Washer and dryer. 2 terraces with dining sets, lounge chairs and a lovely large unheated pool. Situated between Gordes and Roussillon (wonderful village) by a few kilometers in each direction. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful few days

My family and I (4 adults and a teen) have stayed here for 4 nights a couple of weeks ago. It was marvelous - house is gorgeous, well situated, well equipped, spacious and location is really peaceful, a true Provencal property.... just c'est magnifique. We didn't get a chance to use the pool as the weather turned cold for the few days we were staying but the house and the 2 patios more than made up for it. Luberon area is very picturesque with lovely towns, hills and countryside. Gordes is easily reached by walking and by car is only a few minutes if you don't stop every 20 yards to admire the views. It is a lovely town with beautiful views, lovely restaurants and shops (our favourite was of course the bakery!). The market day is Tuesday and offers a huge variety of items, from cheeses to handcrafted items, chocolate, spices to handmade soaps and paintings. Corinne was very helpful with arrangements for our late arrival and it was lovely to speak with her over the phone a couple of times. She even left us a bottle of a lovely local wine which we really enjoyed. We had a wonderful visit at this beautiful house and only regret is not being able to stay longer. We hope to come back for another visit in the future. Thank you, Corinne for a fabulous stay!

Wunderschönes, ruhig gelegenes Anwesen

Wir genossen eine Woche in diesem wunderschönen Haus. Das Wetter war hervorragend so dass wir den herrlichen Pool häufig benutzen konnten. Die Zimmer waren sehr ordentlich und schön dekoriert und so fühlten wir uns direkt wie zu Hause. Auch die Küche ließ keine Wünsche offen. Alle zum Kochen benötigten Utensilien waren vorhanden. Es gab zwei Terrassen, somit konnte auch bei Regen draußen gegessen werden. WLAN funktionierte bestens. Anreise war kein Problem, da wir eine detaillierte Wegbeschreibung bekommen haben. Die Übergabe und die Abnahme funktionierten reibungslos und pünktlich. Wir haben die Ruhe genossen und uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus empfehlen wir jederzeit weiter.

Fabulous house, pool and grounds near Gordes

The house is very tasteful and comfortable, in a very peaceful setting. Having two very cool rooms when staying with an eight month old baby was invaluable. Boule sets available and every cooking implement you could want for. Madame de Potter could not have been more helpful providing a cot, high chair and changing mat and leaving a bottle of wine and some nibbles for our arrival. Highly recommended

Mas de charme , belles prestations

Sejour ressourçant en pleine nature au calme dans ce joli et charmant mas provençal aux pieds de ce beau village de GORDES . Belles prestations , très bien équipé, literie de qualite ! Le charme et le calme

Ce mas ancien a gardé tout son charme : l'intérieur est très bien rénové et la décoration est sympa. Il se trouve au milieu d'un bois de chênes , loin de la route et est donc parfaitement calme. Gordes est accessible à pieds (50mn par de très jolis chemins) et des nombreux autres magnifiques villages sont à moins de 30mn en voiture. L'accueil est parfait et la propriétaire nous met à disposition une multitude d'informations sur la région et les activités à faire. Nous avons passé 15j très reposants , les enfants ont adoré partir à la découverte de la grande propriété et ont bien profité de la picine.

Fantastic spring rental!

We stayed with our kids (2 and 3, respectively) for 5 weeks starting in June 2016 and were very happy we did! The house is very private and is far enough away from roads that our kids were able to play freely. The house itself is very cute and is well appointed for a long duration stay. The pool was great for both adults and kids and was a great way to beat the heat. The location is ideal for touring around neighbouring towns and is close enough to Gordes that you can make the walk/run if you like. Corinne was great to work with during the booking process and we expect that this is a place we will come back to in the future. I highly recommend this rental for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

Vacances réussies

Nous sommes revenus pour la deuxième fois pour un séjour de deux semaines dans ce magnifique mas. Il est situé en zone calme, toutefois à proximité de bien des endroits intéressants à visiter. Nous avons constaté que le mas, son jardin et sa piscine sont régulièrement entretenus et ainsi, maintenus dans un état impeccable. L'accueil et la disponibilité de la personne en charge sont sans failles. Nous pouvons donc recommander ce magnifique lieu de vacances.

vacances idylliques

Endroit idéal pour un repos complet, absence de vis à vis immédiat. Jardin magnifique avec une très belle piscine. La maison est grande, bien équipée, agréable à vivre, bien qu'un rafraîchissement des pièces (surtout les sols) serait bienvenue mais cela n'enlève rien au charme ni au confort de la villa. Tout est bien entretenu et propre. Nous avons ( couple sans enfants) passé une semaine de rêve et recommandons cette villa.

A wonderful family retreat

Our stay here was very special. The property is conveniently located to some must-see destinations in Provence, including historical villages, gourmet markets and chateaus. The house itself is nestled in amongst the woods, so you truly feel like you’re on holiday, and is beautifully furnished with a relaxing vibe. There five of us would recommend this property in a heartbeat.

Charming & Relaxing

We stayed with our kids (4 and 2 years) in the house for 4 weeks and really appreciated every single day. Especially for persons seeking quietness and orientation by nature, this "mas" is a true haven. Our children enjoyed the property as well. The swimming pool is childproof and a collection of more than 50 videos (Disney's Best) helped to overcome the very few rainy moments. Watch out for little scorpions (yellow means lethal for little children)! The estate is a good jumping-off point for trips to the countless attractions in Provence. In general, the stay was pretty well organized by Corinne. As the manor is completely furnished and equipped, we had no complaints. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.
